but what the OP says about this being the first mezz predator cue they offered isn't right either. they had mezz predator combo's for years. back before they did the -2 stuff

Right....the cue was available with the United joint and the option of a WD-700 shaft or a Predator shaft upgrade prior to the entry of the wavy joint series. It also had the black butt cap...I have my old JJ catalogs around here somewhere, if I can find it. It was NOT a "Predator" cue made by Mezz, it simply came with a Predator shaft as an option.

Exactly!
OP makes it sound like this is SE or LE predator cue. It is a mezz cue that came with a predator shaft. Great hitting cue I am sure.
