Some of us use links lots in our posts--me, for instance. It'd be kind of nice to know if this is a useful thing to do.

I know that they can be a very useful tool and I do appreciate the time and effort that goes into them, but no I do not click on them. I am so afraid that I will get a virus or something that I can not fix.

Thanks for that. I never realized that would be a reason folks might not use them. I guess I'm too trusting here.

The only time I go to Ebay anymore, is when someone on AZ posts a link.
I ignore most of the nonsense links in the NPR.

If it's a link that I can't recognize the source (e.g. www.gyu.87deh3) then no, I don't. It depends on how many people have clicked on the link and commented on it...I too am a bit aprehensive with regards to viruses...however, if someone else has already "attempted" the link with no problems, I'm more apt to click on it. If it's a trusted source (www.youtube.anything), then it depends on whether the link has any interest for me...

I say keep it up...I think they're utilized and appreciated!

p.s. the links above were just examples...I don't know if they're websites - DON'T CLICK ON THEM...just in case! :embarrassed2:

I first look at how many posts the poster has. I figure if they have a lot of posts then they aren't looking to harm anybody. It's always a crap shoot though. Make sure your anti-virus and anti-malware is up to date. Chris Marriott

Quite frequently whether its a cue makers link or a members link to their store or just a photo album of their pool pics or cue collection.

PS - I have the Chuck Norris Anti Virus. It gives Viruses, Viruses.

i haven't clicked on any youtube or streaming for 3 1/2 weeks now, china blocks all youtube, facebook and twitter......thank goodness i am leaving next week and returning to usa and returning to clicking on links "most of the time".

I have Norton and if you search the Web, it rates sites as being okay, questionalbe, or bad.

A fact - some posters on here put up BAD links.

I complained that one poster's site was a cesspool and Mr. Wilson issued me a harsh warning.

Some people will never understand how dangerous it is to get viruses.
