FS: Tim Scruggs Ebony Hoppe Cue - A Real Beauty - 3 Shafts!
I am planning to list this cue on ebay later, however, I figured I would post it here to give fellow az'ers a first crack at it. :smile:
Description: This is an ebony Hoppe cue that is in superb condition. It features a highly figured birdseye maple forearm with jet black ebony points and buttsleeve. The points are veneered from outside in, black, bluish-green, black, bluish-green. There are three shafts all with ivory ferrules.
Here are the specs:
Weight: 19.1 oz (butt 29" @ 15 oz)
Shafts: 29" 13MM all with ivory ferrules
Hoppe ring: Ivory
Ringwork: Ivory and silver decorative rings
Wrap: Green speck linen
Joint: ss 5/16x14, piloted
Points: Ebony w/4 veneers
There are no nicks or scratches, it is in beautiful shape.
Shaft 1: appears to have been played very little. Many would call this shaft straight but in the spirit of full disclosure, I will say there is a very small variation visible, only in the middle, when rolled - certainly inconsequential to play.
Shaft 2: appears to be unplayed. Many would also call this shaft straight but in the spirit of full disclosure, I will say there is a very small variation visible, only in the middle, when rolled - certainly inconsequential to play.
Shaft 3: appears to be unplayed. This shaft has a noticable rollout (not severe) but what they hey, it's a bonus 3rd shaft. ;-)
