who has the best stroke in the world ?

Earl Strickland is in the mix. Wade Crane AKA Billy Johnson also had a beautiful stroke.

Wade Cranes stroke was so straight,he didnt have to get way down on the stick, like so many players do,same with Buddy Hall he too never had to get way down low on the stick(chin rubbing stick)to me Wade and Buddy strokes were almost the same.

Since very smooth strokes have been mentioned I'll give a shout out to two guys who have not been mentioned yet. Dallas to me probably had the smoothest and lets not forget about Ed Kelly!

The list can go on on and on to be sure, but if were talking about the most powerful as I've said before it would be Nevel followed by Massey then Mizerak. Another old timer besides West and Kelly that had a beautiful stroke is Jimmy Moore.

I would have to say "Mexican" Ron Rosas had the best strokes.

For anyone who saw this little known player in the late 70's through the early 90's nobody had as good a spin or punch stroke. See his youtube video where he beats Buddy Hall 11 to 3. On Accu-stats he was ranked #1 at Kicks and #2 in runouts after a good break agianst a playing field of Efren, Kieth McCready, Nick Varner, Mike Sigel, Danny Madina, Buddy Hall, Lou Butera, earl Strickland the list goes on. Though Ron sucumbed to substance abuse I have talked with many pro's and peole who saw him shoot in his prime and he simply did things with the cue-ball no one has done since. A native of Los Angeles he never really toured. But if you look at LA tournaments during that era, Ron was always at the tiop of the list. His ability to get draw with almost NO follow through is still amazing to watch as are his kill shots where the cue ball seems to have brakes! Many will scoff at this post but for those of us 50 something that were lucky enough to see him at his best, he was by far the most exsiting player to watch! IMHO.

You can't leave Mizerak off any list like this. Best combination of power and beauty I've ever seen in a stroke.

Best Stroke in the World?

At 61 years old I have seen a ton of players and the one that stands out to me was Jay "Swaynee" Swanson. He could hit the cue ball with 25% less power and get the same results as the other pros. Absolutely the best stroke I have ever seen.

Jaay had a terrific stroke I remember him saying you should play with at least 10 inch length bridge so you could move the ball around with less effort if you wanted to play 9 ball well. At the time most people playing with a shorter bridge now it seems most of the star players of today use the longer bridge maybe he was onto something.

I like today
Corey Deuel
Ralph Souquet

Before them it was
Mike Sigel
Buddy Hall
Steve Mizerak
Danny Medina

Buddy Hall agrees with you....you're in good company.

And if nobody is going to mention the Lion's precise stroke, I will.
