Strickland V Archer - Turning Stone

I am sure he has wind of the opinions of the unwashed internet masses from the Tar match threads.... I would not want to be on the TV table to entertain them either....

Would have been great to watch if he just layed down that much firepower on JA.... Think he was making a point about the Mosconi Cup?....

Hindsight is 20/20...guaranteed if Earl knew his match with JA was gonna be a whitewash, he would have LOVED to have done it on the stream table.

The next time I go to Turning stone I am going to request a certain table, lets see how far this gets me. This is the same reson that top regional players show up late to tournaments, get early byes and can be late to matches. These top players act like gods and have absolutely no leverage in the real world. Promoters and tournament directors succumb to their tantrums and shortcomings for what reason I still have yet to determine.

If you played like Earl maybe you could get what table you wanted. What does having leverage in the real world have anything to do with pool? This isn't azrealworld.com. You sound beyond bitter just because someone doesn't want to be on a tv table.Big shit

Thanks, I needed a laugh at this time of day.:)

It always amazes me - Earl Strickland has SO MUCH FIREPOWER!

I did not see the match or anything else - I was at an appointment.

I think Earl knows he messed up and needs a little time to get back in the grove.

But - as I said before - he could have won that match against SVB.

I guess Earl isn't done after all. Earl's toughest opponent is, and has always been, Earl.

I agree. I don't know if this is Earl's first trip to Turning Stone but I think it is and truth be told, there have been more people in the stands than I saw the last time I was here. It's a great event with or without him but he definitely draws fans. In my humble opinion, any player should be able to turn down the streaming table prior to the final 16, Earl included.

I haven't had a chance to see him play but the brief moments I've seen him on the floor he's been very respectful to everyone. Besides, this event is free to all spectators. If you wanted to see Earl, you really should have gotten away from your computer and booked a trip to Turning Stone.

It is really quite funny. People on here make points to argue that only justify the original point I was trying to make. I could care less if Earl is on the stream. I dont care if I ever see him hit a ball. His match was a high profile matchup of two great pool players. Many of the fans on here were asking to see it. I also guess this may be why so many fans are up there, to see Earl. Unfortunatley his wishes prevented pool fans who cannot make it to the tournament to see him play.

I also wanted to see the Ralf and Jesse match. Unfortunately all I saw most of the match was the top of Ralf's head while the camera panned over on the earl match for the first half. More time was spent commentating the Earl match than the match on the stream. So what did Earl's request that was so honored accomplish?

As to azrealworld.com, it is no wonder a game where the inmates run the asylum cannot advance. Bitter, you bet. You know why because I love pool and would like to see it succeed. Pool is about fairness, honesty, competition, and equal ability to win. Just becuase you play better than me you should be able to dictate rules and tournament conditions?

Let see hopefully next PGA event tiger goes to abc and says, "I dont want to be on TV today because I am paired with Rory".

This also could have been completely avoided by just saying that the viewers will see plenty of Earl and/or Johnny later in the tournament so we are going to feature one of the better young players in the country and a Hall of Famer, and keep the stream on that match.

Jude I have been there a few times and played a few times. Nice win yesterday against Randy, he is a good friend of mine. Good luck in the tournament.

Thanks. Randy didn't quite get it going and I snapped the 9 in twice (I think). Playing on Diamonds, I may have had a little bit of an advantage since that's all I play on. I just wish I held it together against Ernesto. I had a great opportunity there to take down a very good player.
