Here are some of my cues. I am particularly happy with my three custom cues from Mike Erwin, Jim Baxter and Brian Prulhiere.

Here are some of my cues:

Custom American build cues:
1: Mike Erwin
2: Jim Baxter
5: Brian Prulhiere

Production cues:
4: McDermott
3: Predator P3
6: Predator P3 White 471/500 with OB1 shaft
7-10: Lucasi

I am really happy. Hope I will make 1st division next year, but as you understand I cannot play with all of them at the same time. Make a guess which is my player...

And Jim there is only one cue with proper joint caps...

Hmm, I do not know where to start. I think Santa Claus has been to Europe already....

The prulhiere cue I received yesterday, so that is not my player, but I am impressed, not to say shocked, nice wood (both, perfect combination). I do not use much pressure on the handle, so I already had an incident.... considering a leather grip on that cue, the toscana natural leather from longoni. This cue, shaft and butt, complety straight, shipped from us to Europe, and the temperature here is now around 0 degrees celcius, 32 fahrenheit. The shaft is perhaps a bit soft, I got two minor dents after this small incident, but I will work that out on the lathe. - Planning a new cue from Prulhiere (when he has time)with short butt sleeve and will put the wrap on my self.

The baxter cue is such a beauty.... the wild cocobolo is not to describe - neither by words nor by pictures... and the wrap is exactly where I grip-- the tip/ ferrule is about 12.4 mm - perfect - shaft is probably also a bit soft -- joint caps fitting 100 % wow

The Mike Erwin cue has a lot - if the butt sleeve had been 2 inch shorter it would have been perfect.... two shafts ... really good grip/ handle due to print ostrich leather wrap... wood to wood is great... points and inlays are awesome.

Laminated shafts have been softer than my custom shafts with exception of OB shafts which do not have a single dent.....

Cue 10 is my jump/ break cue.... with ob shaft....

Baxter and Prulhiere cues have tiger onyx tips.

Any ideas of what is my player or suggestions of which cue I should bring for our club practice tomorrow? I have a player, but open to be open minded for a change tomorrow....

Thanks, Jon Birger

Jon,

Thanks for posting pics of the collection! I've been meaning to do this myself...just haven't gotten around to it (that's my way of saying I've been lazy!).

Are you asking us to guess which cue is your playing cue? Or, are you asking for suggestions from us on which one you should make your playing cue?

If it's the latter, I don't think anyone should "suggest" which cue...the only cue anyone should really "suggest" would be the one that felt the most comfortable in your hands at that table and the one that you can pocket the most balls with!!! ;) At least that's the one I'd choose!

Jason <-- Still looking for a cue he can pocket more than two balls in a row on a constant basis!

I know what is my playing cue... but I wanted you to guess which..

And yes, I wanted you to decide which one to use during practice tomorrow..... I have a 9 foot table at home where I do play with all my cues, but it is different when I practice at the club, puts some more pressure and I play better, just to give the chance for some of the cues that never have been to the club....

Okay...I was going to guess the P-3, only because I know you like to grip the cue further back!!! However, I was trying to see the tips to see which one looked played or chalked...can't see the tips on the upper cues!

Personally, I'd take all 3 customs to practice tomorrow! I'd want to know which (if any) were to become my new "player". I'm lucky as all my cues are here at work with me...so is my Brunswick GC1...so when I want to "practice" with any of my cues, it's not really a pain to take them somewhere! :p

:-)
I have a Z9 table at home. I guess you don't know that. Tight pockets and Z9 cloth german production - http://z9billiardcloth-int.web.officelive.com/default.aspx

At the club we have 7 Gold Crown tables from world championship in Cardiff 2001 and one snooker table..

As you see it is one of the cues I posted (no cheat there), and none of the Lucasi's. Already told you the Prulhiere is new. So you are left with 4-5 cues. You would probably see that one tip is unchalked..

And the according balls/ numbers are different here from the first pic

Only going by what appears to be left of the tip, I would say your Erwin is your main player, followed closey by the Baxter...

Jason <-- will probably prove to be as good at guessing this as I am in the "guess the cuemaker" threads...I am horrible at these games! :p

You went for the Predator first, but didn't mention which one, and now the Erwin first to Baxter. Prulhiere is to new, So in a way you only leave the McDermott out..hmm. I will not reveal it yet...

But tip size shouldn't be that much of a factor cause I very often shorten them down before I start using them.

The 6 tips installed are: 2 tiger onyx, 2 tiger everest, 1 aramith medium and 1 kamui soft.

Which tip belong to which shaft? You know the onyx already...
