Are there any advantages to laminated shafts just because they are laminated? What about other laminated cue parts?

laminations can add stiffness, improve radial consistency, and be more warp resistant

this can apply to the shaft or other parts in the butt

They are more resistant to warping. That's the only real benefit.

I believe for the makers, they can be made quicker than letting a solid maple shaft cure properly over several years. More shafts, more quickly, possibly at a lower cost for the maker resulting in a higher profit margin.

I seem to remember that tests have been done showing that if any additional radial consistency exists, it is too small to make any difference in play. It may be possible to produce shafts with less shaft-to-shaft variation with laminate construction, but again I'm not sure that any difference would be significant. Less likely to warp is the main thing. Not that they don't warp - my son had a 314 shaft that warped.
