Also, where are players allowed to sit? I was considering playing the One Pocket, and would like to know if I just need to buy one VIP ticket for wifey..
Russ
You won't need a VIP ticket for the wife to watch you play, (or anyone else for that matter). The VIP tickets are mainly front row around the TV table. Usually, you can get a nice seat if you get there a few minutes before the players get there. Hope to say hello again Russ. Don't think you've been there since the last year of the Executive.
T,
What I meant was if I buy into one of the tournaments, get put out quick, and am a spectator for the rest of the tourney, where am I allowed to sit?
I want a good seat for all 9 days, and want to figure out if I need to buy 1 or 2 VIP seats. I know I will need 1 for sure for the wife for the 9 days..
I guess what I am asking is.. What does an entry into one of the tournaments get you besides a shot at money?
Also, I was at the DCC the first year it was at the Horseshoe, I believe.
Russ
VIP Seats, all have the person's name on them. TV-VIP Seats are on the table surrounding the TV table. The "bleacher" seats around the TV table are General Admission, UNLESS there is someone's name on the seat. I've always been able to find a empty seat in the TV arena area for any match, including the 9-Ball Finals. I believe the best view is from the side about 3-4 rows up. I usually try to find a open seat with a good view at least an hour before the 9-Ball Semi-finals starts, and HOLD it through the Finals. If you have a companion, they can watch it for you while you get beverages/snacks.
In the general area, around all the other tables, seating is pretty much un-restricted, although later in the week, they usually start checking for VIP passes for seating at the chairs right on the rail, but some seating is available behind a narrow aisle.
Have fun!
