Please help me confirm what I have here.

I’m new to the forum and this is my first post. I’m a novice player and have a 8ft Kasson Aurora table in my rec-room, but have very little knowledge on cues, what’s a good one, prices, etc.

I recently picked up what I believe is a matched set of 6 Schon older Black Widow cues, no wrap, that appear to have never been played with. The only difference is 4 of them have a white (Ivory?) butt end and the other 2 have a black (material?) butt end. Otherwise they are identical. Sorry no weights, tip or ferule type just because I’m not knowledgeable enough (yet) but everyting looks origianl and un-played.

Here’s some photos.

Cool find...how'd you come acroos that?

i DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM, 'CEPT THEY ARE NICE CUES AND IN RARA CONDITION
(dAMN YOU, cAPS lOCK)
Oh- and the white butt caps are not ivory...Delrin, I do believe.

These do look to be the Schon BW...however now they are probably refered to as BW-1 because they released a BW-2...If I remember correctly they can out about 10 years ago?? Retail was right around 550.00 I believe...wholesale was 40% less...as far a "matched" set goes, unless they are some type of limited or custom one-of's, mabye sequential numbering somwhere, they are just great cues that you happen to own 6 of :) Good looking though! GLWS if you go that route.

Sorry to say, but these cues are all junk. ;)

However, since you are new to the forum, I'll give you a break, and take them all off your hands for $100.00. :D

...you mentioned having a table in your rec room - will these be used as your house cues???

Not sure. There were a couple other Schon cues and also a break cue I also picked up that were all used but still in nice shape and different from these that I will keep for personal use. I think these will be too nice for house cues, considering my friends.

I'm thinking of selling these once I learn more about them and what they are worth.

WOW….. that is so considerate of you :p…… but I really can’t take your $$ if these are just a bunch POS.

I am still confused, how does he come across 6 of these at a sawp meet.
Really!!!

I agree, this not a "set" you just happen to have a totl of six cues.
Now I am curious what the other used Schons they had and if they were a good deal.

This stuff kills me.
Why can't I ever be that lucky :crying:

Make sure you give them a good home.

OK, so the rest of the story is I bought these from a gal at the swap meet that got them as part of her divorce settlement and she needed $$. I knew these were a good deal with a desperate seller and I was fortunate to be at the right place at the right time.

As for the other cues as part of the deal, they are much nicer used Schon’s with Ivory inlays and wraps which I will post some photos probably next week for opinions, but I wanted to concentrate on these 6 since they appeared to be a matched set, unused and I hoped they would be valuable based on them possibly being a matched set. I have sent an email to Schon to see what they have to say.

As for those of you that have sent me PM’s offering to trade or buy one of these, I haven’t even gotten these home yet, still in AZ and I just want to get back to Mi first before making any decisions.

Seems to me you have the BW 1 (white butt cap) and the BW3 (ring and black butt cap). See them at:
