I think there were some hand painted McDermott cues by some famous artist that were in that price range about the same time the D series came out. There were also some that were a lot less that they mass produced.

It's an EL-3, about 90-95 I think. Retail was less than $250, maybe as low as $200. Well after the D series.

The seller is telling fairy tales......or he got ripped off heavily when he bought it.

Maybe he meant $190.00,,,,,, and thinks it has acquired some value.... Or maybe, he just thinks he can move it and make a substantial profit.
