I agree. It's sorta like snooker on the delusion of speed pool, once one pots the "power-ball"? Double the points during the "power play"... as if simple snooker wasn't difficult enough already?

I think it's sort of a novelty. It's looks to be a standard 12 by six ft Snooker track with a darker green felt. Nothing like a traditional snooker cloth. Maybe I'm a "purest"? I'd rather watch a regular match everyday of the week.

Why should "speed of play" be rewarded? Granted...95 percent of people hate slow play, but be reasonable.

I could be wrong but I think also the table has no directional cloth ( just like pool)... many players struggled with cueball controll because of the different reactions of the cloth.

I think all snooker cloths are nap-free nowadays.

I think playing a shot in 20 secs is perfectly "reasonable". I do not see watching a man watching a table for 3 mins as reasonable.

Like it or not, cue sports are dead unless the game drags itself out of the 20th Century and SPEEDS UP.

traditional snooker cloth seen on ranking tournaments (and other played in Europe, apart from Power Snooker events probably) is a nap cloth. Nap is directed from the baulk towards the black spot if I'm not wrong. One of the aspects of keeping the snooker table condition is brushing the nap and gliding it with a special iron.
