What's behind door number 2?

Either way I like number 2 and 3. I like all of them but 3 is the best. I am going to have to get me a cue with green veneers one day. Thanks for sharing.

The small diameter of the rubber bumper on number 2 makes me think that it could be a Richard Black. For quite some time his had slightly smaller bumpers than the norm. The points look about the right length for a Black also. Just a guess.

and it is skinny

The middle cue is also a Fedunka. They two Fedunka's are made with Gus blanks, black, red, green maple, and black, blue, green, maple (green rings). The center cue always gets mistaken as a Gus. The joint blocks, the backend is very close to some of Gus' early backend work (check Tikklers WICO).

The Horn is NOT a Szam prong.

He are the forearms...

Fedunka

I am not familiar with this cue maker but from seeing these I like the work. Can you elaborate on these a bit more? Thanks!

" I wonder if the Horn was made with a Spain blank

Very cool cues. Beautiful.

Obviously a different game than identifying mass produced cues that are found in catalogs. One has to have a lot of exposure to such cues as these to know what to look at and how to look at it.

I did notice the bumper right away, and the small diameter.

Thanks!

His work in the 60's resembled Palmers and Paradises. His work into the 70's and 80's looked more like Szambotis. He was getting Gus blanks and I am not sure if he bought them from Gus, or from Palmer. I can tell from his work he really idolized Gus later in his career.

For a brief time he partnered with Karl Mayer, another Palmer / Paradise worker and they made a handful of cues under the M and F cue brand. They liked the acrylic window and used it often.

BTW they are collection cues... but everything has a price. We will issue a letter of Authenticity with these cues when they are sold. Hopefully that letter will remain with the cue so that it never gets sold as what it is not.
