Any one have some experience playing with them. Ill probably be buying a new tiger x ultra in the next few days and am looking for some solid info on them. I'm curious how they compare the the original 314 shafts mainly.

Ps ive used the search function and haven't found any solid info.

I have been shooting with a Tiger Ultra LD for a few years and love it. I have tried the 314-2 but this one I feel had better control and feel around the table. You won't be disappointed ..:)

Good to hear, i've heard that the tigers deflect more then the other ld's do, have you noticed this or is it marginal.

tiger x

i shoot with a predator 3k3 with 314/cat shaft. also have a tiger x shaft. the tiger def has more deflection than the predator shaft. i do like the way the tiger shaft hits and plays though.

My main player has a Tiger Pro-X on it. Love the feel - more solid than other LD shafts I've tried. I like the way it plays.

As far as deflection, I don't have a lot of Predator or OB experience. I like the feel, "hit", and tip of the Tiger better than my McDermott I2. That being said, I can play with either without significant aiming adjustment.

Thats what i wanted to hear. but i have one more question my predator 314 is pretty skinny around 11.3 mm. It plays pretty whippy and i kinda think that it deflects more than a standard sized shaft only because of how skinny it is. am i crazy to think so or do shinny shafts deflect less/more

Stouter,

Let me know when you are ready to buy - I am the Premier Tiger Dealer

Edit: I noticed that Max Eberle was using one on his J. Pechauer Cue in the Jay Swanson Memorial Tournament this past weekend - he placed 3rd!

Yes, your predator will have a lot more deflection than a standard predator. Since predators have a hallow spot in the middle of the shaft wall integrity is essential to keep deflection down. I believe 12.5 is the skinniest that a predator shaft can go before it looses it looses its ability to keep from deflecting

It's a good alternative to the 314-2 and it's solid inside - no hollow area. I also think the shaft is slightly better for power shots.

In my opinion, it gives a little better hit and I definitely like them.

I've been playing with a Pro X since they came out. The Ultra LD was created along the lines of the Pro X after the Pro X was finalized.

I'm noticing more and more players using them. Melissa Hearndon was using the Pro X it at the Swanee and we had a nice discussion - she loves it. Despite a tough draw, she certainly gave some other pros a run for their money with it too!

If you're already used to playing with a tip that small, I suggest just using the Pro X at 11.75 mm - shouldn't be a difficult adjustment for you and offers a little more precision in my opinion.

I was kinda thinking the same thing, although i think ill be better overall with the 12.75 in the long run but as always thanks for your input it means a lot.
