Rules concerns

IMHO the Forum Owner who has all of the responsibility, and all of the headaches is entitled to make any RULE HE WISHES. Because he is paying the bill at months end.

Could it be that those who Run Banner Ads are pressuring the Forum Owner to send what some in the industry call THE TRUNK MERCHANTS else where, as they do not want to buy a Banner Ad, only to be in competition with the THE TRUNK MERCHANTS who only POST ITEMS FOR SALE on he Forum, and nothing more.

Maybe the Guy who only Post Items for sale, and never post anything else should buy a Banner AD, and be in Real Competition with those Dealers who are now buying a BANNER ADS?

There is no solution that is going to make everyone happy. But I am just expressing an idea.

BTW I personally seaw ZERO Wrong with RAFFLES, but than I do not know of what happened to the Forum Owner, for him to making Raffles go away.

Being an OWNER of Any Business, it a big pain in the butt, along with the money you make, you also get to deal with all the problems, and headaches associate with said business.

That is all part of the Pride of Ownership, and some times a 9-5 Job in Goverment Service with a Pay Check & Benefit Package is way better IMHO. Besides if you make it the 20 or 30 to have a Pension from that 9-5 JOB, you will not be struggling in your Golden Years!

I think the owners of AZ are concerned with "Dealers" selling Production cues and undercutting the advertisers on the site and not selling at MSRP. If your cues are not being sold by Meullers, Seyberts, Etc...then you should be able to post on here.

I understand that we all consider this a community, but the reality is that we are using a service provided by someone else. That someone else is the authority and makes the rules. Some rules are intentionally vague while others are not.
I realize that some discussions in the past have contributed to forthcoming rules changes, but I don't understand why so many people would like to have a say in this, even though they don't bare any responsibility (financial or otherwise) or suffer any of the repercussions.
Brian KC has a great perspective and frankly seems to be the voice of reason in all this.

I agree with you its messy and I truly like having lots of options on here and don't understand what the problem with it is. Of course, this isn't my site and rules are rules. However, nothing personal, but multiple sites suck! I am part of another local gun forum that just split into a second forum. I do like the newer forum better, but now I have to go through two sites and look through twice as many posts since many people post the same things in both. It truly is a headache and I waste a lot more time going through both sites.

Good points, and I have the same feelings. I personally liked the raffles, and ran alot of them, but they are pretty much dead now. I also like the the cuemaker section and seeing all the great work the small cuemakers show, but the clear and simple is that the big guys that pay to support this site don't want the competition, and why should they. That said, I still like the small cuemakers, and the great craftsmanship they display,,,,so I built them a house,,,,whether or not they use it remains to be seen, but it's there. I don't manufacture anything (well except fighter jet parts, that nobody here will pay for), and so I had no incentive to attract people for any other reason than to provide a venue where people can see great cues built by great craftsmen, so that's what I did. I believe wholeheartedly that the buyers will follow the cues,,,,,wherever the Cuemakers can display them.
