Softest grip

Hi guys,
I have very sweaty palms so I want to replace my current linnen cuegrip.
I would like to replace it be something with a really soft feel to it.
It doesn't have to be leather, but if it is leather, kindly advise me what type of leather, because some feel hard and kinda "plastic"-like once installed.

Have you ever tried cork?

Actually I haven't. But I assume it's similar to the feel of fishing rods equipped with it?
Also, I once held a cue with an alcanterra (some sort of suede) grip. It felt really good, but I never of anyone who installs them aftermarket.
What leather is softest? Elephant, Kangaroo, Lizard, Shark, Pig, ...?

Try a soft leather or a linen that you process first through a wire brush. When you install it first wrap newspaper around wrap area and glue it down. Of course you'll have to allow the proper depth, but the paper under the wrap will soften it. Either an old Bushka, or Szambotti had that done to it. I think maybe to allow for the depth of cut being a little too deep by accident.
I remember By accident it had a real soft feel to it. Many years ago. I've never tried to do this but it just may work. I've heard of other cuemakers putting newspaper under the wrap.

Kangaroo is the softest I've put on and felt. It is a bit@h to do right, because it stretches so easily while putting on, but it feels really good, IMO.

I've found that all of the leather wraps that are soft are so hard to install and are stretchy. That's the nature of the beast however. I put on a soft Kangaroo last week and it was difficult to do but all kangaroo is not that way. It depends on how it is tanned as I have 8 or 10 other Kangaroo wraps that are rather smooth and stiff and don't stretch at all. Another cue maker and my self bought a ostrich hide once and it feels exactly like the soft kangaroo. After putting on the kangaroo I'm not even telling any one about the ostrich.

Did you ever get the chance to play with the old predator P2's? they had this really soft wrap that was like an imitation leather. the only cue maker i've ever found to use anything like it is Bryan Mordt. he put it on two cues he made for me and the stuff is amazing! way softer than leather or linen! give his stuff a try

It seems kangaroo's been having some soft feedbacks here. I'll keep that one in mind. The linnen/newspaper thing is curious, but definately not be tested on a more expensive cue I guess.
The imitation leather on the P2, do you mean the stacked one?
Also the leather on Ikons feels softer than most leather grips I held. But it's
a proprietary Predator grip I assume?

Bill, would you mind explaining your statement re processing linen thru a wire brush. Sounds interesting.
Thanks.
