Cue identification

That's what I thougt, but doesn't Huebler have a nylon insert?

Hey, I could definitely be wrong...but not based on that.
Yes, they (the Taiwan manufacturer) made six and eight point cues.
In fact there is a specific four veneer eight point that I am looking for but I think it was branded Cobra.
It has been said it looks like a Mali. Mali did make some joint rings that look like that.
So yeah....I could be wrong.....
But....it does not even look like a six point anyway.....it looks like four.......maybe they were counting veneers not points? Somebody did that in the forum recently because they didn't know the difference between points and veneers.......

If the bumper is original I would say the cue is an import from the 80's. But the photo of the weight bolt kinda give it away, I suspect that the cue could be an Adam by the weight bolt, points and the pin. I also think the cue was made in the late 70's or the early 80's. While others used that weight bolt it was most commonly used in Adam cues from the 70's.
I will do a little more research and see what I can find.
Update:
After looking through some catalogs from the time Adam was using that weight bolt, I could not pin point the exact model. But, Based upon the design, quality of the Splice / points, the pin and weight bolt I am pretty certain the cue is an Adam Custom Cue. They made many variety's some were never listed in books or catalogs.

I doubt it's Adam. An Adam would likely show even better quality I think, I have several from that era (70's-80's). Plus the bumper is different.....and though the weight bolt is similar, it is different from the ones I have seen and the ones I have. The weight bold actually looks more like one of the very old Vikings that I have than the Adam, and so does the pin. But I still think it's an import anyway. Could be Adam, but I'm not sold on that myself.
I also do not think the bumper is the one that came with the cue. The points however, are really nice and the weight bolt all the older cues had that style weight bolt. In fact the bumpers were also rounded on the bottom side to except them, whether they were the rounded bumper or the older bumper that was more straight push in style.
I agree though that if the cue is an Adam, it is late 70's or 80's model based upon the pin, the early ones were certainly pointed.
I was sitting here staring at that bolt pic and comparing it with an Adam here. It's close...... This one has the bumper you are talking about as well, the one that's concave on the bottom. I have another earlier one that has a bumper with a screw (original brown Adam bumper) but that's completely different.
I agree, the points look good. The butt sleeve parts seem to line up real well too.
