I am still here.. Believe it or not, I have devoted more time to actually PLAYING pool than discussing it.

I've had some good results recently, so I'll let the cat out of the bag here, since few will see it in this thread.

Played a good match against John Morra at DCC, had him down 2-1 in the One Pocket and had my chances to win but couldn't finish him off, lost 3-2. Made me a little nervous to have Shane and Shuff sweating my match so hard. :-)

Played a good match against Joey Gray in the 9 Ball at DCC. Ran a 3 pack on him to go up 4-0 up, but again, did not bear down enough to win. Lost 7-5.

I let two AZ'ers talk me into playing for money at DCC. $$ :-) $$ I got there.

Had Josh O'Neal down 6-4 at the Music City Open in the pre tourney race to 9 event. He ran out the set. :-(

Placed 13th-16th in last weekend's Malarkey's Open in Tacoma, WA. Had a chance to go deeper in that tourney if I had taken advantage of the chances I was given in the last match.



All in all, the physical game has progressed, and I need to work on focus and finding the will to win. I still need to work on a few physical things, and I think I can beat some players instead of "coming close".

Congrats Russ - sounds like you won't be needing a walking stick anytime soon :wink:

What state are you living in at the moment, if you don't mind?

What ever happened to Girlwon1/Tina? She's an OG forum person and I haven't seen her around.

The other person I referenced, was Brian, who I now remember was from Atlanta. I also remember his last name and that he had moved from Atlanta to New Jersey, but never really heard about whether he still plays or not. In fact, his screen name at BDC may have been BB, not Brian.

I used to see his name pop up on the local regional tournament listings in Atlanta but have not seen it pop up on the NE Regional Tours.

Found this whilst searching for "Purdman." I'm alive and well. I play poker full time now. Although I'm starting to play a bit again.

I saw her at the last BCA Vegas, last May. Hadn't seen her in a looooong time so it was a surprise.

She was part of a large noisy group with a strobe light pen cheering for my opponent in the 2nd chance finals. (added: at hill- hill I kicked the 8 in for the win- Tina came up and congratulated me and didn't seem to know/recognize me from years and years ago).

I don't think she was playing in any of the events, though...?
