Super low cost customs

I don't like you bringing my name into you getting in trouble with the mods.
You have done this on several occasions and I didn't say anything.
I don't appreciate being rolled under the bus to deflect the blame out of your direction.
Keep my name out of your posts!

This is so silly. Lee, you are using this opportunity to try to make me look bad because we have not had great exchanges over both of us having our own forum. Your claim is just silly, as I have never used you for anything. You sell enough stuff that you don't need to try to soil me.

Mr. Wilson, I did read the rules. If I made a mistake than I am sorry, but I do not believe I did. I thought this was a site for billiards......why is it so tough to talk about them on here now?

I don't care what you think.
Leave me out of it.

talking about your cue would bump it to the top..but I'm sure that isn't lost on perople.

The rules are in place.
We have them posted and as people come to understand the expectations warnings will begin to flow.

People will get 3 and then out.

My posting in this thread serves a purpose and that is to make sure the expectations are understood.

You can feel singled out..just like every speeder ever pulled over and complaining that the cop should be out there looking for the "real" bad guys.

You only happen to be the one pulled over right now.

i only looked at about half of the threads on just the 1st page. all of them have several posts with the nice cue, glws, wish i had the money etc, etc,. a couple have been bumped more than once in the same day.

if i was mr prulhire i would feel singled out also.

jmo

Singled out or not is actually moot in this instance. Intentionally or not, there have been violations of the new rules and because others are doing it.....well that does not make it right in any thread.

I do believe that this seller is trying to comply with the rules "as he understands them".

We have once again been given an opportunity to sell new cues on this forum and I for one see clarity and good common sense in the new rules.

It's this simple:
You can once again sell new cues on this forum.
One bump every 48 hours.
Dont reply to someones questions on the thread within that 48 hour period, send a pm as a reply instead.

Yes there are other rules for selling but for myself as a seller/buyer, these are the basics and as long as I stick to those basics, everything else seems to pretty much take care of itself as far as rules compliance.

Dont reply to someones questions on the thread within that 48 hour period, send a pm as a reply instead.

I disagree with this. The rules state: 11) Over-active bumping is not allowed. If most of the replies to your post are bumps that is overactive bumping. Anything more than a single bump in any 48-hour period is over-bumping.

So that would mean he couldn't be in this thread going bump bump bump every day. Asking questions is completely allowed, according to the rules. Answering questions is completely allowed as well, since it is not restricted in the rules.

Could you state that in the form of a question?

Well, once a day, posting to your thread with such things as...

Running low on the walnut burl.........
If you go to ebay, ask me about adding points to them
Well, I guess you could say that four basic points...nothing fancy... adds about 50.00. Fancier stuff goes up from there
I should probably tell you that the cork can also be stained.

These posts were not direct answers to questions, just cute ways to bump every 24 hours instead of 48. Or are we to believe that every day, you just happen to think up some must have information to your thread? What's next...this cue comes with a bumper, this cue has a joint, this cue shaft has a tip...etc etc

I like the new rules, and hope the few don't mess it up for the many.

Perfectly said! I should be able to answer the question in my thread. It's my thread and those interested in should see what i have to say about. If someone ask me about my item and is not the only one who wants to know but he put the question first, i should be able to answer for all. Otherwise if I will ask via pm I will really have an over bumping situations by redundant questions or worst than that...I WILL BE CONSIDERED EVASIVE BECAUSE I DIDN"T ANSWERED THE QUESTION!

Thinks about this....rules are not made to be broken. Only if are not the right ones...

PS: Sorry if I broke the rules in my new threads. I thought it's not gonna be considered over bumping if I'll be kind with those who ask me about my product.

Sincerely,
Chris

If you need to reply to a comment or question on a sales thread, do so via PM.

Nobody is saying you may not answer them.

Just not a bump to the thread.

People are looking for ways to skirt the rules and keep their post at the top of the page. It really is that simple.

Dont know if you are aware that you can edit your post's but lets assume you do know you can. The way to avoid answers that become "bumps" is to edit those answers into the initial post with all of your details/photos/ect...
The OP can also send a pm to anyone who asks a question and either direct them to the edited listing or give the answer in the pm as well.
Questions by interested parties are almost always welcome and usefull. I for one usually forget to add a detail or three to my original post. Editing a post will not bump it to the top so there will then be no violation of the forum rules.
We really need to keep it simple and try to avoid overthinking how to better move a cue, case or whatever.
I'm done going off topic here now. This is a for sale thread.....I tried to give some positive input where I felt there was some misunderstandng by the OP (god knows I dont claim to be the moderator) and now I would like to see him move some cues.

Mr Wilson, I couldn't figure out what the op did wrong in this thread until your last post. Yes, I did read the new rules published just a couple days ago by Jerry in the closed sticky. May I suggest editing Jerry's post with the info in your post above mine: you can't answer a question in a sales thread, but should use pm instead. (and if the op likes edit the first post also to answer the question for future browsers).

I have no dog in this but the rules are ambiguous.

I am in talks with Jerry and Mike and Jerry will let me know how he would like this dealt with further.

Please stop trying to call me out in a public forum sir. It is not that simple. I am a very honest person, and I was NOT looking for a way to "skirt the rules" I was under the impression that a "bump" was not allowed, but answering questions was. I get pm'd a question and I put the answer here, on the post. I thought that was a way to answer it for others if they had the same question. This whole thing has actually ruined my post as there is no interest in the cues at all now, just the controversy. After the pages of posts over rules and everyone trying to clarify them, I just made a mistake. This is not that big of deal and you could have pm'd me about it rather than BUMPING my post yourself.

This thread makes me feel like i'm in China.

Good luck with the cues i've always liked how they looked.

prulhiere cues, it isn't just yourself.
I have said so in an earlier post that the replies to yourself are meant to reach a greater audience and by their reading your posts here...understand what is expected of them as well.

You wish to continue insisting that you're being singled out..which is simply not true.
Below is a copy of the very last PM to you.

You have been here a relatively short amount of time and amoung the 35,000 members that I have on board...your posts and name keep popping up?

Let me make something clear, your name lands in my mail box due to reported posts ( complaints ) and I attempt to address each one.

Do you think that maybe I have assembled the community at AZB to search out your posts and report them to me?

That is just how silly your suggestion that I have singled you out is.

The only admonitions given to you is that you should read the rules and follow them.

If you continue to generate complaints from your peers, you will continue hearing from me.

That has been and will continue to be the extent of my interest in you.

Dave

iirc someone suggested that only the OP can post in FS threads, in minimum of ?? hr intervals, relegating seller/buyer communication to other available avenues.

simple and foolproof...

other forums are in place in the event open discussion is warranted:)

These cues are lovely and play good.

A shame that this thread has turned into a discussion about forum rules.

Rules should be easy to understand for all members and be found in the sticky, and rules should not be changed every now and then.

Rules continuity and consistency (and warnings/ punishment) provide a firm foundation for developing a common rules interpretation amoung all members.

I hope Mr. Prulhiere will continue with his great offers on az because it benefits a lot of players on here who are looking for his cues and custom cues in this price range.

Good luck with sale!

last chance

This sale is running down. When it is over, its over. I will not be able to do them at this price again. Thanks Jobba, for the comments, glad you like them.

I wish I had read this post before I began posting cues for sale on this site again. Brian, I wouldn't waste any more time here. Your forum is much more user-friendly than this one. I feel sick to my stomach after reading this thread.
Goodbye again, AZ!
