Is it me? or my cushions????

I'll start with saying I have a 7' Diamond Pro-Am and a 9' Brunswick Medalist(1990's version).

IMO... my diamond plays the way it should. Active cushions. Proper cushion height. 1 7/16"

my brunswick plays slower, not the way it should. BUT proper cushion height. 1 7/16".

The brunswick doesn't sound dead or feel hard to the touch. Just plays sluggish. Is this because I'm going from Diamond with newer rails(2 years?) to an older table with origional rails(1996?)? Or could the rails have just lost their zing? Or do they just play like that?
Should I change to newer cushions? Artemis? Brunswick?

I just want them to play more like each other really.:shrug:

Do you have a red label Diamond or a blue label Diamond? Could be used to playing on the Diamond that plays a little faster than normal.

My guess is that the Diamond is playing fast, on the Brunswick see how many times the cue ball will travel the length of the table when shot at break speed. If it's 4 1/2 to 5 times the length, then check the Diamond the same way. If the Diamond travels more than 5 times the length of the table, it's playing fast. After this test, try banking the cue ball around the table for a 9 rail bank, watch and see where the cue ball banks at on both tables, if on the Diamond you end up pocketing the ball after the fifth bank, it's banking fast and short, but try this on both tables first, then let me know what the results are.

Will I get what I need/want with new Superspeed by Brunswick or should I get Artemis from Diamond?
Are the new Superspeed cushions a direct fit or do the subrails need to be modified or is that only on the older ones??
What about with Artemis? Direct fit with those?
Cost on the two much different?
And k55 profile correct? (k66 intercontinent??)

Since I'm asking so many question!!! Might as well ask one(or a few!) more.....

I'm gonna have my rails off anyway, figure I'd replace the casting bolt sleeves(correct term???) of the ones that are bad. Where would I get these and are they easy to replace??

Todays Super Speed cushions are a straight across trade for the sub-rails on your Brunswick, the Artemis are not really going to play right on your table unless the sub-rails are modified as they're a little different even though they're a K55 profile, and do cost a lot more than the Super Speeds. The casting bolt threaded inserts can be ordered from Ken Hash.
