I have that Supermax(It is a rebadged Microweilly) and like it. I paid 3k for it several years ago. It has a 3 phase 2 speed motor and I have been using it with a VFD as a phase converter(you are not suppose to) without issue. Sometimes it won't start on HIGH, but after a few tries....it goes.

ALSO take note in the picture that the compound has hit the chuck more than a couple times......

Bill, the Supermax is a pretty high end Asian lathe. The one in the picture has hit the chuck a few times though. It is doubtful anyone will pay 4k. They are 16 speed lathes BTW. I just noticed someone offered him 2k and he said "not even close" to accepting. He is a stubborn one it seems. I can't say for sure these are imported anymore and just read parts are difficult to come by....

The buffer in the picture was originally used for buffing telephone poles.

Yes Mike, you need this one to buff your pocket chalkers.
