J/B or Break Cue

Is there much difference in performance between j/b cues and a dedicated break cue for breaking?

A Jump Break cue can break as good as any just break cue. But because you would want the forearm made of solid hardwood for breaking you could improve the jumping abilities of the cue with just a jump cue with very light forearm wood.

Hi,

Here is an old saying amongst sailors concerning boats called "Motor Sailors". The sail and they motor but they don't motor well and the don't sail well. Not exactly the same in this case but you get the picture.
