Hi,

If you think they will make you play any better, don't hold your breath. JMO. Feel is very subjective and everyone has a very different ideal for a cue's feel or hit. Try a cue of the brand your buying with a G10 and give it a try.

If you like the way they look as a modern technology material, your good to go.

More flex in the joint and less front weight for the balance of the cue. That is what you will get. Is that a plus or a minus? Only you can make that judgement!

Helps with balance, Strong- but will wear wood eventually.I use g-10 ferrules too.

I use Brass-
Radial( with an insert on break shafts! I use 3/8-10,
3/8-11, 3/8-12, 3/8-10F, 5/16-14 , 5/16-18, Unilock.

Pretty much when the joints together knowbody can tell the difference!!!!!!!! Mark

Funny, that alot of the same people that swear by a certain pin and or joint, by using them exclusively in their cues, or playing with them, are the same people that will say there is no difference.

Funny, that their sub conscious can obviously tell the difference, even tho they can't.

I can't tell the difference between alot of them, but i can tell the difference between a G10, and a metal one, and the difference between a steel joint, and a wood one, or a ivory one, with some regularity.

I've had the cue now for a few weeks and shot with it. It has the G10 3/8x10 pin with solid Ivory collar. It feels a lot softer than what I've shot with for the past few years(phenolic collar w steel 3/8x10 pin) I can tell the difference on touch shots. I was having a little trouble at first with speed. I was leaving the cue ball short on getting position and had to get use to the new cue.

Conclusion:

I like the combination of solid ivory collar and G10 pin. I'm not sure if it's the pin or Ivory that's made the feel so different. I'm sure that both have a big part in it.

It's not due to the G10.
