If you are talking about the DP event, there is nothing about it on their website but I'd keep checking there. They also probably will start a thread here about it.

If you are talking about a World Championship, there is also nothing on the WPA calendar yet.

Let's hope, guys. I spoke to Charlie at the SBE and there was nothing definite. Last year's venue at New Brunswick was smashing, as was the dinner. The Championship Game should be in hotels, not rooms, but wherever it is, I'll be there.

Bring it to Dallas. The venue for the 2010 10 Ball tournament was outstanding. Or was it 2011?

Dallas?!? Their idea of "straight pool" is 8-ball on the ubiquitous barbox. :p

Just kidding. Actually, the decision should be wherever the most concentrated fanbase of straight pool resides, which will ensure the event is well-attended and appreciated. If there's enough of a "straight pool crowd" in Dallas, then so be it!

I hope their isn't another "Battle of the Sexes" that same weekend or Charlie won't post for his own event.

wow!

You guys are pretty rough.

After all of the great straight pool he has brought us in the last 5 years, you decide to take a cheap shot at him like that!? You'll probably garner some guffaws from like minded individuals, so I am sure it was worth it.

The finals of the last two 14.1 challenges have both been cancelled and split rather than streamed to loyal fans. I have supported both financially. I understand Derby City, but the SBE really irked me. There was absolutely no reason to have that event the same day as the SBE. None.

Ya, I guess you're right. I was hoping having it in Dallas would ignite some interest here in Dallas. Unfortunately while everything in Texas is big, pool tables are small(er). :(
