Hello and thank you for the answers in advance..

How much time in your estimates does it take when for a quality cue shop/tech that knows what they are doing,
to turn down a ( Pred or Tiger for example )
shaft blank before you can put a tip on and say it is ready to play?

The average charge you charge would help too...

First of all, the tip stays on. It's cut with the ferrule to finished size. There's no need to remove the tip.
I do a T/D in roughly 20 mins, start to finish. I won't post my price here.
I'll regret having said anything if what I've said is being used as a comparison to someone who's currently doing a shaft for you.
Everyone is different in their execution and I have the experience of having done a couple 1,000.
I BETTER be good at it or I'm in the wrong business.
 
Do you mean to match up a predator shaft blank to a cue?

If so it depends on the type of cue you are putting it on. What pin, does the shaft need an insert, what collars does it need and what size is the joint? Will also need to be finished after it is matched up.

Should only take a couple of hours to do the work right. Cost would be dependant on alot of the above factors.

Example: 3/8 x 10 with single black, white or tan collar would be $45.00.

If you're asking about a 'mate & match' of a shaft to a handle, that's different than a turn-down.
A turn-down is a reduction in diameter of the stroke zone.
A mate & match is the fitting of a shaft to the cue.
Of those two, which is it you are wanting?
Again, I'm not publicly quoting prices but my time on the mate & match would be 3 days.
Everyone is different.

sorry for the confusion,i thought when some one sold you a predator/tiger shaft blank it came untapped with no ferrule and had to be turned down to match the cue butt.

i did not know you could but a shaft blank that was ready to go..

Thank you, now we have a better idea of what you're wanting.
FYI, all the 'partials' that I've ever done are basically a completed shaft (tip, ferrule, taper).
All the remaining work to be done is in the first 6-8" of the joint end, matching diameter, insert, rings, decal & finish.
Joint diameter is addressed when cutting the rings to size.
