Hole in cloth

Anybody have any suggestions on what to do with a hole in table cloth?

I was doing some work over my table today and dropped a screwdriver. It went right through the cover, which is a pretty heavy duty one, and punched a hole in the cloth. The Screwdriver only fell about 4 feet but landed right on the tip.

The cloth is 860 in tourney blue and less than a month old. So, needless to say, I'm infuriated.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hole...

Yeah,,I hear ya pal...

They sell stuff in most hardware stores that is a glue to repair fabric.

I have a tan cloth,,,I thought I'de try it as the spot we all break from wore the cloth out to make about a 1'' stringy hole..

I just applied the fabric glue onto a q-tip and slid on a very fine coat..

Low and behold,,it was dried within an hour and is as firm as the original cloth..

It will however darken the cloth initially,,but with enough play,,it just works right back to the original color....

Try it,,it works,,,,,,Alan,!

Hole

Just put a (Simonis) table spot over the hole. It may not look nice, but it shouldn't affect play at all.

If you want to be a trend setter, use duct tape - many nice colors are available!

Hole,,,

I just looked,,,the stuff is called ''Sew No More''

Give it a shot and hold onto it for any future tears,,,,,,,,,,,Alan,,,!!

If the hole is not too large you could try this.
I have used Gorilla glue with success on small cloth holes.

Put a dab on the end of a toothpick and put it on the exposed fibers.(Don't use water as on the directions)
Befofe the glue dries it will become tacky. Tap the edges of the hole with a ball and flatten the glued area.
The spot will be somewhat darker but won't effect play. Sorry to hear about your accident.
