Just curious which pros play where. Thinking about maybe roadtripping later this summer, and might just room hop, but would like some key places to hit, with some top level players to rub elbows with.

who is out there and where?

keep in mind, that if there is a house pro somewhere, chances are good that you will not see them often as they are out of town most of the time or in a tourney. Might be better to plan a trip around some tournaments that big time players will show up to

In Southern California the stop is Hard Times in Bellflower. Dave Hemmah is the house pro. Most of the best local talent (Parica, Santos, Oscar and Ernesto, John Schmidt, etal) is there for the Sunday tournament, particularly for the added money event the first Sunday of the month.

At Amsterdam Billiards in NYC, you have Tony Robles, Mika Immonen, Chris Lynch, Danny Barouty, and Steve Lipsky.

At Fast Eddies in New Milford, CT, you have Jeremy Sossei.

Which one is the house pro ? A house pro is a teaching pro who gives lessons.

I don't think that's what the OP is asking for, as in his words, "...but would like some key places to hit, with some top level players to rub elbows with."

It sounds to me like just merely a social thing.

But yes, in the normal sense, you're correct with the term "house pro." Of those names I mentioned, I know Tony Robles does (gives lessons, that is); I think Danny Barouty and Steve Lipsky do as well, but tailored strictly for straight pool. Not sure about Mika Immonen, Chris Lynch or Jeremy Sossei.

Didn't see that , thought he wanted a teaching pro . Just associated house pro with a guy whose was there for just teaching and was there most days.

Actually I meant both. I should have been more specific, but i am just looking for likely places to run in to big name players.

Bobby Chamberlain is in Hard Times in Woodbridge, VA... most evenings practicing straight pool in the corner. Mike Dechaine plays in either TJ's in Waterville, ME when he's in town, and occasionally at Snooker's in Providence, RI. I think I heard Joe Tucker is there sometimes also. Max Eberle is somewhere in Las Vegas.
