I saw your post searching around. It's a very time consuming, tedious job. I have been asked by others already and I've turned them down. Time is not on my side right now.
1-It would involve wrapping the channel first with a .035 sycamore veneer,
2-The veneered channel will have to get sanded and or cut so it's smooth
3- Measure the dept of the channel to see what's needed to make it flush on the cue.
4-Measure the hardwood veneer and weigh that number into your equation.
5-The wood veneer must sit higher than the channel so the wrap section can be tapered to match the cue and allow for finish.
Notes***
Concave and convex both ends as close as possible.
Everytime you need to bend the veneer, Make sure you wet the outside with a sponge first, wait a couple of seconds, then bend into place.
This is not a job for contact cement, If you oooooops :yikes::crying:, you get to start over at the beginning.

Thank you for your reply. It sounds like an interesting process but not worth it for this cue. Basically, I have linen and would prefer almost anything else, although I like wood the best.
I PMed you Mike but your post tells me what I wanted to know. I know its more detailed than that but its a good start.
One question tho if you read this. Do I need to cut the veneer to the same specs as I would for a leather wrap?

I added the concave and convex to my post.
For your location, I would call Mike Gulyassy, 864-458-7662. and ask him if he will finish over the wrap.
I know Mike and Richard and probably will do just that. :thumbup:
