race to 25 2 out of 3 sets

there is nothing wrong with this format.
but you cant say who the best is by 1 of these matches.
i started this thread just saying that the underdog
will win a lot of these.

No disrespect meant, but I think the better player still gets there more often than not. Sure the underdog has a chance to win, but it isn't nearly as brutal for the better player as a short tourny race to 7 or 9.

I am not trying to talk shit in any way, this is an honest question from a pool fan. You have said you are an underdog to the top guys. You also just said that the underdog will win a lot of these. Do you think you could win 1 against the top guys? (archer svb morris hatch etc) You are without a doubt the azb peoples champ and would prolly outsell most matches. I just want to know what you think.

I do believe he has been in at least one TAR Match. Well known money player. I am sure he found it more profitable playing for money rather than entering tournaments and playing for peanuts. He has the ability, knowledge, and CAN win. Didn't say he would, but he definitely CAN

Lucky

JA has been getting lucky on a pretty consistent basis for the last 20+ years

Go figure

i am betting any of the guys you mentioned would be drooling at the opportunity to get you in that kind of match...no disrespect meant

I know he has been on TAR and is a bad mofo. I was asking his personal opinion if he thought he could get there. Anyone that doubts Mr Bartram's ability or heart will get a nice pricey life lesson LOL.

he plays very good.
gives himself a chance to get lucky.
I was being sarcastic, clearly he has been at the top of the game for a very long time due to his skill and mental toughness

Regardless of his age or recent wins, I doubt anyone enjoys seeing his name matched up to theirs on the brackets.

Thank you for answering that. I hope like hell to see you up there upsetting some of them fools in the near future!!!

would you play them in that format betting your own money?

wow guess you dont read much od the thread
just what you want to?
i never said i liked my side in fact
i said i know im an underdog vs all
of them.
i was asked if i thought i could ever win
in that format and yes i can.
i will say it once again im an under dog for sure.

I don't like the 2 out of 3 sets format. I would rather watch a race to 75. I just think more things can happen. A player could fall behind ten games or so and make a come back.

Chris and I have never met...but we have many mutual friends.

Chris Bartrum has shoved more chips than a fast food cook.

How about you?

Don't be so sure of that. You ever watched bartram play? SOLID for days at a time fool. Also Im pretty certain he has spent a few morris and schmidt bucks ;)

I think they both have good and bad parts. I like the raw head to head of the race to 75 but I also like the idea of spreading the competition over three days to see how they adjust their head and game from day to day

Overall, I think the three day event is a better measure of the consistent level of play of each player

I did think it was interesting that their three day score was 66 to 66. 25/22, 16/25, 25/19

best 2 out 3, you have to look at other sports, goals, runs, baskets, etc don't matter.
