TAR Podcast #22 with Archer and Bustamante. Any Questions?

In fairness

I think I was fair with Johnny about the ABP thing and he was fair in his answer. Johnny as much said the ABP was put together for the US Open 9 Ball and the late pay issues. He admitted some things could of been done better and some things he thinks would be done different if given the chance to do them again. I don't see any need to keep picking at something that for the most part is old business and put to rest.

I do not expect Johnny to speak for Charlie Williams and I wouldn't ask him to. Johnny is here to compete and I think to keep harping on poltics before a big match would be poor form.

Any chance of a pod cast in the future with Johnny, Charlie, and Shawn about their vision for the ABP? We can all agree we would like to see the sport grow we just all have our own opinions as how?

Never say never but I don't see it actually happening. My opinion is the best thing to do is let it fade away. I think the ABP was a last ditch effort to address the late pay issues at the US Open 9 Ball because the players didnt have any other option than to threaten boycott. It worked but not without a pretty big PR cost.

The ABP is well on its way to fading away IMO. I don't see any big push from anyone to drive it forward. No players I have talked to even mention it.

agreed...........

Busty: Many times on your last stroke,I've seen you pull the cue tip way past your bridge hand and then rubbing your index finger on the way to striking the cue ball. I've also seen your cue tip "raking" the surface of the rail underneath your bridge hand on some rail shots.

Has this ever contributed to an error of any significance?
Have you ever sharked yourself because of this?

Archer: What is your opinion (pros -cons) on the current 10 ball rules/format on TAR? Do you support the 2/3 to 25? Or favor the long sets to 100 or?

Thanx in advance.

my question for busty wasn't even asked yet on the podcast and he did what i was describing around 55:00

Podcasts keep getting better and better, this one was best so far IMO, the story JA told about playing the 16 yr old kid in flip flops was epic
