new pool room opened

there was no budget. it was just the smart thing to do. But if any of the haters would like to come test out our budget the doors are wide open to come get played and you can test the budget and see how long your $$$$$$$$$ last compared to mine . a little heads up though you might wanna put yourself on a budget cause we stand real tall when we are standing on our wallets.

Don't get me wrong, GC's are one of my favorite pool tables, right up there with Diamond...but, I'm not in support of opening a pool room today with worn out, stapled out, cushions that need replaced, different pocket openings....yesteryears GC's...and then wanting to charge todays rates to play on them as if the customers today don't deserve to play on better playing tables

WOW...you need to chill out a little bit...I know what kind of work Bob does...he LEARNED it from Mark Gregory and myself...so check that. I've owned 3 pool rooms already...all with GC3's...largest room had 37 tables...check that...and do I know how to play pool???....LMAO...yes...check THAT!...maybe you should find out a little bit more about me before you go off on such a rant...I pioneered the term..."Calibrated" rails buddy...which is what was done to the rails on YOUR pool tables by Bob to make them play so damn good!!!....so, slow your roll down a little...I'm not attacking you...or your pool tables....I simply made a comment about "anyone" opening a new pool room today with worn out, tired GC's...in todays economy...and expecting some kind of success with todays customers

And why dont you have them now? and you speak like your the worlds greatest pool player with a LMAO after the CHECK THAT...hahaha although i would like to CHECK THAT, i will take your word for it. I would love to gamble some with the pioneer of the person who designed my rails because my tables play so good . I KNOW what goes on with/in pool rooms...because I travel this whole country...and see a lot of pool rooms on a regular basis...how many have YOU been to lately? I speak with the wisdom of knowledge, not the crotch of my shorts like you! I've seen MANY pool rooms closed, and many more opened. I'm batting a 1,000 when it comes to calling out how long a pool room will stay in business as well...meaning EVERYONE of the ones that I made a statement about not making it in business the first year...FAILED!!! and for YOUR information, I owned the "Cascade Family Billiards" in Renton, WA. the "Kent Recreation Center" in Kent, WA. and the "Puyallup Recreation Center" in Puyallup, WA....and probably quit playing pool before you were even born!!!...but gambled as high as $8,000 in a game of 14.1 with Harry Plattis back in the late 80's...but was always playing for $500-$1,000 a game otherwise, and yes...I even played with the likes of John Schmitt....so...learn some respect, which is something you sorely lack in!!
And if you're NOT the OWNER of this newly opened room...WHAT have YOU done lately to support this sport of POOL?....myself, for the last 12 years I've been working as a consultant to Diamond, to advise and help them build the best playing tables in the world, but...what have YOU done lately??????????

YES i am the owner of the pool room. and yes i been all over the country too. and yes i do play pool AND YOU CAN COME GET PLAYED cause all the name dropping your doing about who you played and what you bet means nothing to me , i got more money and more gamble then you can handle buddy. and as far as you being a consultant for diamond congrats, maybe you can have them fix the rails so they play as good as a gold crown, and for the record hear on the east coast everyone plays on brunswick. so if your around in 30 years hit me up and tell how good them diamonds are. cause they have alot of years to go to catch the gold crown. So i could care less about what pool rooms you had and shut down or who you played for how much you played ok My NAME IS VINNY THE ADDRESS IS 1971 RT 50 TUCKAHOE NJ 08250 COME SHOW ME HOW GOOD YOU PLAY AND YOU CAN BET THAT $8,000 A GAME IN SOME ONE POCKET.I do not need to learn respect i have respect but when fools like you that name drop and talk about all the junk you talk about and what they had or know but yet dont have NOTHING now it makes me laugh so get your bank roll together buddy and whenever your feeling froggy jump on the highway and come get played .

But when idiots try and talk down to people like they are god almighty it dont fly with me not to mention my business is doing great and a guy from 400 miles away wont make or break me its all just chitter chatter . I always treat my customers with respect, as i know how important they are. pool has been on a decline with rooms closing all over , and i made it my business to make sure that this room is for the players , somewhere they can come play pool and enjoy the day or night out playing pool without any of the bull---t that is normally associated with pool. there is plenty of action if wanted and there is plenty of people that just want to play and learn the game and we are here to provide both. My wife and myself strive to make pool bigger and better for our area and pool in general, it takes time but one day pool will once be like it was , because pool is the greatest game on earth and it deserves that respect, we just need everyone to get on board and push to support there local pool rooms because without the pool rooms where will pool be in ten years. Im fortunate enough to be in a great position with my room So it aint ever going anywhere but there are some rooms not as fortunate, So players from all ages need to support them , and i am willing to help out anyway i can aswell.

No product plug what-so-ever, I'm fine with Bob rebuilding the GC2's, at least they'll play great. My point in the first place was in opening a room today with worn out GC's of any model...that's not a good idea with today's players demanding more for their money as customers...that's all. No knock intended, but the responce I recieved was out of line...so go back and re-read what I first posted if there WAS a knock, it WAS on the Valley bar boxes, because they're NEVER going to be anything but a Valley bar box...no matter WHO works on them, or WHO owns them

Good luck Philly! There's nothing more annoying than armchair internet users criticizing you for how you are spending your money on your business. Ignore that and play on. Although, if you ever want to start your alcohol business, shoot me a message. I've run lots of bars and would love to set up a good alcohol business out of a pool hall. It's definitely an area to make more revenue and broaden your market when done right and by honest people.
