Well my cue just arrived in the mail today. I open the package and there was a nice tan color case. Once I open the case and saw the cue my first impression was "Where is the Balabushka ring?". I thought this was suppose to be a Bushka tribute to Willie Hoppe. I would like other's who purchase this cue to give their impression on the cue. Sorry no pictures. Mitch

Schon Hoppe

I ordered my cue with a leather wrap, two ivory ferruled shafts and Schon joint protectors. Since I live fairly close to Dean I met him at his house to pick up my cue. I also took a couple of my cues (12 point SW, Searing hoppe and a Tascarella hoppe) and Dean shared a few of his cues with me. I enjoyed meeting Dean and will do business with him again. Overall, I am very pleased on how my cue turned out. It has a very classic look to it.

If anyone can post photos.......

I am eager to see the 2nd & 3rd tribute cues from Schon ...........I have Schon's 1st tribute cue (Balabushka) but did not participate in Deanoc's subsequent projects for the Hoppe & Mosconi cues.

If you've worked with Deanoc before, then you already know he's a cue conniseur with really impeccable taste. I imagine that both the Hoppe & Mosconi cues will be winners.

I thought the cue was exactly as described by Dean except for the extra MOP dots Evan put in the points (BONUS). All the Balabushkas didn't have the Bushka ring. I haven't got mine yet but the pictures posted in the cue gallery look very nice and exactly as advertized "a Hoppe tribute cue" from Schon.

I was suppose to be getting a Leather wrap. Dean wrote and said it was his mistake. Now I have a cue that I didnt order and. Mitch

Mitchorama's Cue Mistake

It seems important to mention that Deanoc already admitted and explained to Mitch that the linen wrap on his Hoppe Tribute was due to a mistake Deanoc made when ordering these cues.

Deanoc offered a full refund to Mitchorama for the cue if he wasn't satisfied. For his own reasons, Mitch decided not to return the cue to Deanoc for a full refund and instead, chose to list his Hoope cue for sale.

Mitchorama has reported that his cue ultimately sold for less than what he paid, however, Deanoc has already refunded $100 to Mitchorama for the leather wrap mistake, as well as a $20 overpayment Mitchorama made. So it looks like Mitchorama has been made whole again on his Hoppe cue purchase which I'd like to reiterate that Deanoc was always willing to refund his payment if Mitchorama had merely returned the cue to him.

In any event, the Schon Hoppe cue will be in the hands of its satisifed new owner shortly. I'm sure he'll be very pleased and proud to show off Schon's 2nd Tribute cue to all his friends. And I'm really excited and looking forward to getting one of the new limited edition ivory joint Schon cues Deanoc has arranged to be built by Evan Clarke later this year.
