Request

I'll start of by saying that I'm new here, and that by making this request I don't intend to offend anyone, but just trying to make my life easier, and hopefully save myself and others some time... Now... I'm looking for a cue... not just any cue. It has to be a custom one (I will not consider any production cues), with a leather wrap (this is a MUST also). I've been looking for a while without posting anything, patiently scrolling each day through every post. By now I have a pretty good idea as to what I want, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet, and still coming back in hopes to find that "one and only". However, I'm often strapped for time (home and work take precedence, of course), as I'm sure many of us here are, and don't have time (nor desire sometimes) browse through every single post, and use Search option instead. Here's where my REQUESTcomes in: When you post a cue for sale, could you PLEASE, PLEASE, make sure to spell the name of the maker correctly?! Because if it's not, then the search engine will not find it. For example, as far as I know, Ariel Carmeli spells with ONE "l", but 60% of the people/posts here spell it with two. So not only as I mentioned before there's a chance that a potential buyer (like myself) can miss the post, but I think it's pretty disrespectful to the cue maker as well (and what does it say about you, seller, if you don't know your own cues?!). Another one is Joel Dadivas AKA Joel Davidas. Does anyone know how to spell it right? And please, don't just put JD in the title/description. The search is pretty "finicky" here, and does not allow to type in less than a certain number of characters. Another thing (and this is just for my benefit), I'd like to see "leather" if it's what the wrap is made of. I mean, don't just say "Elephant Ear", or "Kangaroo Leg", or whatever else... I mean do, but just simply put "leather" next to it. So I (and perhaps other people who are looking for cues with leather wraps) can easily find it. That's all. I think that pretty much sums up my request. Sorry for rambling, and THANK YOU in advance.

Ummm.... Nice @ss, I mean she looks like a well-rounded girl, but what exactly does this picture have to do with my post/request?

Sounds like your a nitpicker to me so I'll just adding you to the very short list of people on here who I will not sell anything to.

Like I said, my intention was not to nit-pick or offend anyone here, but rather save people some time. But suit yourself, I'm sure there's going to be more than a few people who WILL sell to me.

what is your budget?? ivory, steel, or phenolic joint? points or no points? where are you located?

guy

I see... Well, I really wasn't (at least not before someone said that I was nitpicking), but I appreciate the gesture :wink:

Yeah and just in-case you were a troll everyone could post Nice ass pics here and make the thread even better. :tongue::dance:

No problem
A little more info about the cue you are looking for will certainly help your efforts.

OK, I'll add a few more specs to narrow my search down a bit more. Weight: 19-19.5 oz . Shafts: 2 or more (I may consider one if the cue really strikes me). Tips: 12-13mm. Condition: New, Test Hit, or MINT (no visible dings, scratches, and so on). What else?

P.S. I got 4 PM's in the last half an hour. Appreciate the offers, guys.

P.P.S. Who was that guy who didn't want to sell to me? :smile:

Have you thought about ordering one? With a $1200 limit you should have no problem finding a cuemaker to build exactly what you want! You could order a Tascarella and save your money, you will have 4 years to save as his list is LONG. Pete makes one of the best cues.

The big 4 OH (NO!) is coming up for me in the next few weeks, so this is supposed to be my birthday gift. Plus, I don't really have a patience to wait for 2 months, and you're talking about 4 years :smile: , not to mention that I'm not too big on Tascarella designs. I like Carmeli, Josswest, Ginacue (white and black tuxedo cue that I saw posted here once was probably the best cue that I've seen) - just to give you an idea of what I like.

That would be me . I see a lot a talking and a bunch of wishing and NO buying yet. When you rack up some I-Trader feedback with some reputable sellers maybe I'll change my mind. Right now I'm still feeling pretty good about my initial gut reaction to your first post. Only time will tell.

JD= Joel Dadivas

Yes, we know that but if you were to type JD in the search engine nothing would come up, people should put Joel Dadivas in the thread some place so when people use the search feature it pops up. I try to do it when I list mine knowing this.
