What is the most Under Rated Cue?

A couple of my pool buddies played with my new Players HXTE10 last week and said it was a very good cue. They both play/own numerous expensive customs.

(I'm new to pool so I wouldn't know a good cue from a 2x4)

I don't think they were just being nice. They're my friends, but they're both brutal with their opinions on just about anything.

Do you think they are better than most people think they are?

No. I'm poking fun at you. You seem to be on a crusade against expensive cues. The point has been re-hashed a dozen times in the last year on here in one form or another. If people are paying a lot of money for a cue, they obviously believe it's worth it. You seem to want to make fun of them. By doing so, you are basically trying to make them feel bad about their investment. I don't like people who try to make others feel bad. It's a form of bullying. How dare you tell others how to spend the money that they worked for and belittle their decision. I don't believe for a second that you are just trying to discuss the issue. It seems deeper than that with you. Perhaps you want a top brand cue and can't spring for it so you try to put down others who can?

I couldn't agree more...excellent post.

Lucasi. Most people look down at my Lucasi untill they hit some balls with it.
Then they change their mind.
Also there is nothing wrong with buying and collecting high end cues.

For lower priced production cues, I think Fury offers best prices for good hitting players cues. Very under rated. For more custom cues, Samsara is the best bridge between production and custom. I think the still have a production cue, and they mix aesthetics with playability. They core their cues for a consistent hit and forward hit. Each cue is weighted forward and feels lighter than its overall weight. This takes more time to spend on individual cues...and is not suitable for high production cues made in the 3rd world. Then, they control weight with a weight bold in rear. BTW, many customs use weight bolts also, and people like the hit of their cues. So as they say...to each, his own.
