John Schmidt's and Corey Deuel's comments on aiming systems

"Different eye positions for the same visual" is a given - it's why I've said all along that "acquiring the visual" is a euphemism for "fine tuning by feel".

I'm being more specific here and saying that even after choosing the "visual" (by feel) that works for the shot, you have to fine tune it more (by more feel) after you're down on the shot.

The problem is, you guys do not know what different eye positions mean and what it does...

The above bold is only true if I have not correctly picked up the lines, and I am out of alignment slightly and I am too lazy to get up off the shot and re-establish the correct lines, only then will I fine tune when down on the shot. Clearly, to me, Pj is getting information from someone like dr dave or bob jewet or someone else that does not know the system beyond a beginner level.

This means you think you can "pick up the lines" while standing, hide the OB from sight before getting down, and still make shots - like Stan says he can do. Right?

huh? can you be a little more detailed about what your talking about? you have misunderstood stan, im sure. I have not read this thread since my last post.

Everything is done in the standing position, i told you this many times in the past! as im walking over to my next shot my brain will be processing the "different eye position" needed and it becomes a subconscious adjustment. Now a different eye position also means a different body position and a unique ctel.

Which eye position is used? Is it the dominant, vision center, secondary aim line - left eye when cutting left and right for cutting right?

as far as im concerned anybody can learn the system regardless of eye dominance, etc. Anybody can learn the system regardless of perception or what ever else that Lou guy was yapping about that i rarely pay attention too. Go buy the dvd already lamas! and also you do not understand the eye positioning im talking about. "different eye position" = subconscious adjustments and you will always be on a ctel and edge to aim point on all cte shots. This is how you are capable of making all shots using the system. This is how i see it and i have never been able to sit down with anyone and discuss the system so this is all my opinion.

The system does everything stan says it does believe it or not! I have yet to see stan post anything incorrect in my eyes. This is a very interesting evolving system and guys like PJ are missing out by not knowing it and I don't mean by playing wise either but just on how it works and evolves.

Correct, I don't understand what you are talking about. If I did, and if it is correct, I could diagram CTE Pro1 to show that it could be geometrically correct.

you and your diagrams :) forget about the geometry, etc stuff :)

i could explain the entire system with this one picture if i wanted too, i will remove it shortly also :)

Your asking if i can pick up the lines while standing and then block the ob temporary until im post pivot and then make the shot? yes this can be done as long as everything is done perfect. Normally you would like to have the lines there to subconsciously help guide you to center cue ball and keep the shot as stress free as possible.

i like how you guys keep bringing up specific drills, shots and scenarios as a way to try and discredit the system lol :) you guys have been so ridiculous about this all going back to dr dave and his silly drills lol

I'm impressed, Champ! Since you're able to make every shot using the system, I look forward to watching you play Mr. 400 or Corey or Busty on TAR someday. :)

:shakehead::shakehead::shakehead: you don't have what it takes Allen, it's best you let this rage inside you that you have for me go away

Your comments and silly pictures are just exposing you as the troll that you are.

right  why do you want to flame up your thread, i was just starting to get into discussing cte/pro1 like you wanted, you getting upset because the system is not getting trashed? why dont you learn it so you can come here and give an informed opinion, instead of your silly meaningless posts you regularly make? I also notice you regularly find a way to work in aiming system jabs in the main forum often also lol

Despite your trollish comments and pictures, this has been a pretty good thread on aiming systems.

We all know you're a troll. Why don't you create your own aiming thread and stay out of mine?

lol ... :)

you edited your post after i quoted it lol grow up already or do i have to put you on ignore, you would be the only one on my ignore list. For me to put someone from AZ on ignore means you are a really, really special individual :)

Is this productive? Champ is talking about how to use the system and you step in to be condescending?

Even Mr. Wiley's endorsement of systems in general and Stan's in particular didn't engender a positive repsonse from you but when Champ attempts to describe how the method works from his experience you jump in to be degrading.

Why is that?

"While standing, sight through the center of the CB and the outside edge of the OB (i.e., sight along the CTE line). Then, based on the type of cut (see the table below), shift your sighting to visualize a line through the inside edge of the CB to a given alignment point on the OB (see the table and figure below), while also maintaining the CTE visual."

When I shift my sighting to visualize a line through the inside edge of the CB to a given alignment point on the CB, I can no longer also see the CTE line correctly.

i believe Landon has some kind of an issue going on with eyes if i remember correctly from one of stans posts. We have all seen he has know problem firing balls in on a 10 foot table, but i will let stan answer that because i am not sure and it is his son.

I can tell you i am able to use cte/pro1 with one eye closed if i want too, but i am also pretty experienced and understand how to make the system work.

This system does not need to have both lines picked up together at the exact same time for it to work. You should have no problem going from one line to the other until your visually and physically in the correct alignment. If i were you i would take a few steps back and just try and get an understanding of the visual and physical alignments of the system. Use a almost strait in shot until you have that mastered and then move on.

Now when your still a few steps back and you are able to pick up both lines like i described above. your eyes will now be square too the cue ball (you will now have two fixed outer edges of the cue ball staring at you as stan keeps telling everyone on here lol) you now will find the vertical axis of the cue ball and just move strait to a half tip offset position with your cue. (let your eyes lead you to it, if you have trouble)

The above bold was the road block Patrick Johnson could not get past in his attempt to learn cte/pro1  once you have the cb/ob lines picked up, the cue ball becomes your main focus. If these guys would learn a bit of respect, i would really try and help all you guys on here :)
