Hi everyone this is my first post. My name is Mike I'm from central Pa. and I love to play pool. I'm in a couple of leagues, 8 and 9 ball and I like to play in the local tournaments to stay competitive. I really like the 9ball league because I'm always learning new things to improve my game. I have a bunch of cues made by Leon, love everything about them. He took alot of time with me to make sure I got everything I wanted from the cue he built. I never had one built for "me" before so he asked me what I would like in a cue and went into great detail helping me make the right decisions into putting it all together. I received the cue on time and it played better than I imagined. I had it for three years, playing with it pretty hard. I sent it back to him a month ago for some minor work, he was done with it quickly and said no charge. I've been reading the forums here for years I see alot of negative posts about cuemakers so I thought I would post a positive one. Leon took the time with me to educate me about cues and made sure I got the personality that I wanted in the cue that he built for me. He's a great cuemaker that really cares. I have five of his cues and love them all. Thanks again Leon.
 
I'm having Leon build me a cue and can't wait to see it! He's as friendly as can be and has been extremely helpful as you said. I've played a little with one of his sneakies and it played great and made me want to get a cue personally from him made for myself. He's a joy to talk to and work with! And he's also nice enough to go out of his way to post pics of his cues in progress in the gallery for buyers which I haven't seen many others doing for customers.
 
I picked up a Leon Sly cue as a throw-in on a deal for a Josey. Turned out to be a very sweet deal because of that. Very nice hitting cue, I totally agree!
 
I had a redwood Burl Sly Cue and it was a sweet Player but a Buddy of mine take it away:eek::thumbup:
I think Leon have to do a new one for me;)

Couldn't agree more! I talked with Leon over the weekend and his computer was down, but I think more cue makers need this kind of respect and appreciation shown as I know most of them get more bs to deal with than they do appreciation.
