OK you busted him and it is pretty amusing since he denied giving the rep.

Some advice. Forget about it and move on. The people don't know you yet. I am pretty sure that once they get to know you, they'll like you. It takes awhile to get the hang of being on the boards. One thing is not to expect people to agree with you. There will always be misunderstandings, disagreements, etc.

While you can't control what is said to you, you certainly can control how you respond and that's how you're viewed.
