I am so glad he got caught, I am also happy to see this video posted. I really hope he starts a new account from another computer so that he can see his ugly mug and never walk in to another pool hall again! Nobody is going to believe this but I guess they should. Anyway I travel some playing cherry masters, I have learned to legally beat many of them over the last 10yrs. This guy that stole the cues has his picture up in several truck stops and places I have been the last few years. He also robs and uses slick twenties to ripoff cherry masters.
When I first saw this thread I kept thinking I seen this guy before. I have been to a few places and they said they don't pay out of towners. I later found out some idiot was pulling the slick twenty and seen this idiots picture. I know he is one of thousands that travel and ripoff machines but I try to do it legally. Idiots like him cause people like me to be labeled as a thief as well.
There are idiots like him I heard of in Illinois that rob adult book stores as well as all the private clubs. I can name many of them and I should out them but a few of them are members here and are really good pool players.

My dad runs Cherry Master machines, I know a way to legally beat them. Funny a legal way to beat an illegal gambling device haha
I know a man who owns (5) sports bars and has (6) of these machines in each bar. He pulls $50k to $70k PER WEEK total out of these machines and he pays off a ton. He's got more money than brains. He makes more money on those machines than he does selling booze. I don't like these machines because they fleece ignorant people who probablly can't afford to lose the money. Kind of sad if you ask me.

I have known of several people who have lost everything they owned playing these machines. One elderly lady had her husband to die and was lonely so she started playing these at the local truckstop. She lost all her life savings, over 80,000, took out a mortgage on her home and lost it and they forclosed on her home. These machines can be set very loose and you still have no chance in the long run. You have a much better percentage playing blackjack or craps at a casino. I also had another friend who over a 20 year period lost over a million and sold a 200 acre vinyard and a 6 bedroom six bath home left to him that he sold and lost it all playing machines.

I thought I saw signs at that booth stating there were cameras in addition to casinos cams. If u r going to steal (not that stealing is ok) but why then and there? And for 3 cues? Geez if ur gonna a risk it in a casino at least do it ocean's 11 style and make it worth while.

I have never actually heard of anyone stealing... cues. I always thought someone may take another person's chalk by accident if it is the same brand, but cues are a little more distinct.
And I do not think he would use those to play with... probably just to sell for a profit. Although from what I have read here, you cannot make very much off of the "players" brand anyway.

I only play the cherry masters 10 days out of the month. I ran into some guy around 1995 when I was still in the army that taught me how to beat the first models. When I retired in 2001 I hit the road learning to win on most cherry masters. I now know more systems than anyone living and make more beating them in 10 days than I do from my retirement check.
I'm not bragging because some of the crap I see and the lives these machines destroy make me sick. I run into many pool players traveling playing machines. Most pool players play the machines to make extra money or try to rob them when desperate for money.
