Earphones for listening to commentary.

I was watching a snooker match between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Judd Trump and I notice that most of the audience were wearing some kind of earphones. After I did some research I found out that those earphones are for listening to the commentators of the match. What A Great Idea!

Many times when I have watch some kind of live math wether in pool or in sports in general and I have often thought to myself that I would be great to be listening to the commentators on tv while watching the game live.

Why isn't that more common in the states? Why don't the do that for let say DCC or The US 9 Ball Open? I think it would futher increase appreciation for the discipline and skill of the game.

Accu-Stats and Billiards Club Network were working together at the DCC when it was held in Louisville, and they rented headphones for $5 to listen to commendatory as it was occurring real time on the TV table. :)
