I have a disassembled gold crown I or II not sure which one. Its an 8' with ashtrays on the corner pockets. It was going to be a project of mine but with my son on his way I dont have any time. Does anyone know what its worth if I sold it?

GC I or II value

I think that if there aren't major issues like broken or cracked slate, gauged up rail tops, broken aprons, etc.,you might be able to get $1000. It depends on what needs to be done to it. I just bought one for $100, that was an absolute steal though.

It all depends on condition!!! They can and do go for much more that $1000.00 if the condition justifies it.

I just bought a 1971 9 foot GC I with ball return in real nice 7/10 condition. It has 5 year old Simonis 860 on it that has hardly been played, decent bounce in the rails, a wall rack, a few house cues, and a set of balls for $900. It's been in a personal house for the past 25+ years and I assume a pool hall originally. Seller was asking $1500. I'm pretty happy with the deal. I plan to restore it for our rec room.

As I was looking specifically for a GC I or GC II for the past month or so, I've seen prices from $300-$3000 depending on condition. Tables with returns run a couple hundred more than those with just pockets. Tables that have seen less use and been relocated less often are worth more. Condition of the rails, trim, and framing are the important factor. Although cloth type and condition may play a factor, most times the cloth will need replaced anyway.

I looked at a GC II and another GC I before I bought this one. The other two were listed for over $1000, but I would not have given $500 for either.

Condition is everything, unless you find a buyer that doesn't know what they are looking for.

Any pics of the $100 GC? Wow, what a deal, I mean steal. Was the seller desperate to get their room back, uninformed or what? What's the story?

btw-great find.

enjoy

Since these table were originally made for Brunswick's Boweling Allies and everyone smoked it could be either one. From my limited knowledge the metal strip that gos on the outside edge of the rail Dark in color on GL I tables and it was silver on GL II tables. I have GL II that also has the ash trays on the four corners and I really like the look.
