It looks to me like each rack has a significantly larger footprint than the magic rack. Larger footprint=more chance of having issues removing it after the break. With the magic rack the nine ball often stays put. This is not a problem because that area is clear. Accu rack? Not so much. All else looks equal meaning magic rack is superior. Not trying to be a kill joy but that's how it appears to me. I could be wrong of course.

The Accu-Rack does have a larger footprint and you can wind up with balls on the surface... On an 8over the instance rate was about 5% of the time with different breakers using the 8ball template....
The good thing is the material acts like the cloth in providing friction so you can shoot a draw shot on a ball stuck on it and the rack doesn't slide and the cueballl reacts exactly like you had drawn the ball on the cloth... I have played several racks just leaving it on the table and while anything will affect a ball slow rolling for the most part they are a non issue... 1hole and straight pool they are no good for but 8Ball they work fine...
In addition to the cueball getting friction when shooting across the rack, the balls coming out of the rack pick up roll like they do on cloth... They are not sliding across plastic... Getting rid of slide has made the wing ball in 9ball much harder to make... You can make it if you hit the rack from the right angle and at the right speed but you can't just "hit" it....
The geometry is the second asset... I can say that even with old worn out balls you can get a frozen rack on the Accu-Rack templates...
This is not the case in some instances... If you have your own balls or the room you play in replaces their sets constantly this may not matter but most rooms I go to have sets that could be anywhere from 1 to 10 years old with stolen balls replaced with new replacements so having a consistent set is never going to happen...
Anyway that's way to much of a rah rah sales pitch response....
I will say that I might look at putting them on a diet if this seems to be a problem... SO FAR it has not been noted to be one even with the test racks I have had out... I will make sure to check with the people who have demos on the way to them to see if they are seeing an issue with having to leave the rack on the table more than they would like and if it is causing a problem in the instances where it has to.....
One of the reasons I left the area at the front large was to add stability to them... They may not require that much material as the material holds it's shape very well....
Thank you for your honest feedback....
