Cues Worth More Than Your Car

Um, all I ever sold were Shelby Mustangs and rare Ford muscle cars. Someday I hope my cues will be worth more than my 66 GT 350!

Larry

I hope your cues are worth more than your GT 350 too. I can give my wife a good explanation as to why I "need" another one. It's guaranteed to give me 100% in profit if I choose to sell it and maybe one day I'll buy her a 66 GT 350.

If it came down between selling the 90 Honda hatch and my Vigus customs the hatch would be sitting in a new driveway without a second thought. I might even break the guys arm taking the money from him so fast.

Is that a "no"?

Are you going to Lincoln City next week?

JC

Might be there the 11th...to root on family friend Matt H. I'm not good enough to hang with the BCA folks.

Yep, that's a no. When the P-car left here, I decided I wanted no more cars that required driving to the big city to have any serious work done...
Where I lived, that meant domestic or japanese for the most part. I'm done with European cars...but reserve the right to change my mind.

Lenny, since the world is going end on Dec. 21st, I suggested to Cindy that we cash in much of our investment portfolio & buy a hot Ferrari. She said no. That's what I get for marrying a woman with common sense...

Seriously tho...I'm pretty satisfied with this. Just a nicely well balanced driver. Detroit has made inroads when it comes to handling.

I just ordered a custom Nitti....when it's done, it will cost WAY more than what my car is worth...and will be worth every penny!

I guess brothers do have some things in common LOL .... I have a Bill McDaniel and break cue that is worth more than my 99 Dodge Dakota heater. I never thought about that until you posted this up.
Thanks, Adam

While I have few cues, I no longer own a car and depnd on public trransportation or taxi for my transportation.

Most car i've owned depreciate in value whereas most cues I own will not, I hope (I'm still overall net positive on few cues I've sold).

This is a funny thread. For me, it's not even close. I have a crappy 1994 toyota truck with 200,000+ miles-and a fancy scrimshawed ivory inlaid Southwest. The custom joint protectors might be worth more than the truck. I also have a ebony pointed Franklin SW, which I guess means I have 2 cues worth more than my car. Maybe I can trade one to John for that mercedes convertible. Can you haul pool tables with that thing?

That's hilarious!!! You better be careful....you might get stuck with a Benz. Throw a ball hitch on her and a 16 foot trailer and you might haul tables with it. It might not hold up too long.

This is the '90 hatch. These are older pics and I've smoked out the tail lights and painted the blue interior black, but I left the seats as they were.

This is my player and break/jump. B/J has a lyptus shaft with a G10 tip and ferrule combo.

Would you keep the car or the cues?

Hey Dave I have a crappy 92 toyota truck with 250,000 miles on it. Can we have a convoy some time? Bring one of those SW up here and off you go in your convertible. Did I mention it may not make it to Medford? If it does it won't be on one tank of gas. But it sure is pretty!

Beautiful cues! Question...does the hatch have a coffee can sized exhaust tip?

Cues are tools which can make you money (if your smart/skilled) and sometimes increase in value / daily driving cars are disposable, depreciate rapidly and cost you money.

It's funny how we define worth. If you had to lose everything except your cues or your car, you'd prolly keep the car. And a car, though it depreciates rapidly, can be sold anywhere. For some cues, they might technically be worth X dollars, but you need to find the right guy willing to pay that.

Small coffee can size....LOL. I did have a local muffler guy weld a huge coffee can on a car that I paid $100 for to be funny. I spray painted it black and painted pink racing stripes on it. Painted the wheels pink too. This was the car with the sound system worth more than the car. It was an AMC Renault.
