I got a feeling about this years U.S Open

Brandon Shuff is my pick. I'd also love to see Earl Strickland or Shane van Boening take it down and they both have a good chance. Another of my favorites is Stevie Moore. I'd like to see him go deep this year or even win. There are some other mid-level American pros I'll be rooting for as well.

I like many of the foreign players but I'd really like to see an American win it.

Are Bustamante, Reyes, Corteza, Orcullo, and the other major Filipinos playing in the US Open this year?

Anyhow, I'd like to see Rodney win it or one of my other favorite players, like Earl, Corey Deuel, Bustamante, or Mika

Repeat winner

My pick to be this years winner is one of these great american players.
All have won it before so it would be a special repeat win for any of them.

John Schmidt
Earl Strickland
Corey Deuel
Johnny Archer

First choice, Mr. 400. Go John!

After four years of sponsoring the iconic US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, Nike and Hurley have said that it’s time to step away from the event. The decision to pull out of the contest came as a shock to many in the surf industry.

How can you possibly put a great American player list together and not put SVB on it? ESPECIALLY putting John Schmidt above him, I am not knocking his game by any means but SVB could probably give him the 8 at least and still rob him gambling.

Don't underestimate Schmidt. I use to think he was a notch below the top players, but on any given day he can beat anybody. He can definitely play. Of course he would be the underdog in 10 ball vs. SVB because of the break, but he could pull it off

Beware of Greeks bearing gifts!

That's an ancient saying meaning in our occasion that NIck Eckonomopoulos is a very strong outsider.. You will remember me soon enough...

Schmidt, good for straight pool and maybe one pocket, where there are many shots selections, when it comes to 9 or 10 ball he is faced with a key shot on every shot and that might proves deadly for him. I do wish him the best though.
