1.5" X 1.5" X 30" paduck dry ready to use for sale or trade.

Had a few that had stains, looked like water spots, and a few that had heart wood showing. I thought they would turn out, but didn't want to take a chance on sending them out that way. So I turned them round. Happy to say they all turned out. I numbered them one through five going from left to right. The square piece on the right was cut years ago when the wood was cut for Mali. This should dispell some worries about the color fading over time.

If you want some of the rounds they will be $19 plus shipping. Except #2, it has a knot with a split through on one end. So only about 24" will be useable. I will take $12 for it. Squares are still $18 each plus shipping.

Here is what padauk looks like finished. This is a piece I have had for years. It looked just like the wood that I am selling before finishing though.

Hope you all started the new year of with a bang and that good luck follows through out the year!

While moving the rest of these to a better storage area. I found about 12 more that have water stains or yellow streaks in them. They should turn out by the time you get them round at 1.38". If somebody wants these I will take $15 each + shipping.

Still have about 150 more to move. I would rather sell them than put them in the attic. Don't know if my rafters will hold anymore. So if you want them let me know. If not sold I will be moving the rest next week.

I have turned two of these down to .94 over the last three months. Nether have moved at all. Past performance does not guaranty future results.

Just throughout this out there. In case someone wanted to know!

Paduk

That is some Beautiful stuff. I works with Paduk Often. I recommend that every be very vigilant with dust collection. Paduk allergy develops Over Time, and I have 3 other Harp Builders that can no longer work with the stuff.

Yes over time if you subject your cue to a lot of UV Paduk will turn a goldish brown. Most players keep their cues in a case, and the finish retards that oxidation/ Tarnish, what ever you would call changing do to UV. I have harps that I made 15 years ago that are still a rich Purple Red. I dont think that it is that much if a problem. However if you are worried about it, us Bloodwood. It has very similar looks and will not turn brown when exposed to UV.

On the way to the PO with the first orders. If anyone else is interested I may be able to get some more to the PO tomorrow. After that I may be out of town for a while. Remember the holidays are coming. What better way to show someone you care than giving them wood!!!!

Larry

I tried that on my wife. It didn't work so well. Maybe it was the wrong kind of wood?:grin:
