I agree

It should be up to the owner of any establishment to decide on smoking. Not you or the goverment, you have no right to demand that. If the owner decides to allow smoking and non smokers chose not to frequent the establishment, it will either hurt his business enough to where he makes changes or it won't. It should still be their decision.

And yes, if you don't like it go somewhere else. Who are you to tell a person who has worked and spent/invested tens of thousands or more dollars in their establishmen,t that it should be a non-smoking establishment? or a smoking establishment for that matter.

I am a non smoker, and don't like smoking, but I don't think that gives me or anyone else the authority to tell something they can not do something that is considered legal in their OWN place. If I don't like it I will not go it is as simple as that.

We just passed a statewide non-smoking law in North Dakota. Now Cigar Bars can't even be smoked in. Pretty obvious what a Cigar Bar is, yet it is illegal as soon as the law goes into effect. They even went as far as making e-cigs a part of the non-smoking ban.

Banned, stopped, against the law, call it what you will. It is my humble opinion that smoking should be prohibited throughout the known world, the neighboring planets, and the upper side of lower Manhattan. It is a scourge on society. It is ruinacious to the health, causes bad breath, and stains the teeth. If it were up to me, cigarettes would cost fifteen dollars a pack.
Whew...I feel lots better, now. Thanks.
Just head to Manitoba there not quite $15 a pack but close (unless you buy them at the bar then they are)

I was a smoker... one day i just stopped. On that note smoke, don't smoke not my business... as for second hand smoke sure might be bad but I'm a big boy, I know the dangers but I'm not going to get bent out of shape if a business owner decides to allow smoking or not that's his choice

22 years ago I was cleaning ashtrays inside McDonald's! The smoking section was about 10 tables all right next to the other tables! It boggles my mind to think that was normal. Thank God I live in non-smoking Washington state.

In Belgium, it is forbidden to smoke in any (indoor) public space (restaurants, cafe's, sport halls, pool tournaments, etc.).
Its perfect so.

Isn't that the same country where you can shoot heroin right on the street and in parks and nobody cares?

A recent article in the National Inquirer, written by a North Carolina tabacco farmer, claimed that smoking was actually good for you.
I thought that might cheer you up a bit.

its officially forbidden but nobody cares

btw i used to play in a room in belgium that was non smoker, but they had a small "smoker" room for about 10 people, so you could take a break and have a cigarette with a drink. thats imho perfect.

i dont mind getting out for a smoker, but a small smokers place inside the building, especially when the weather is bad, would be nice.

around the competition table i wouldnt allow smoking.

Is it true that tournament players are not allowed to consume alcohol during professional pool MATCH play?

Mind if I bring a bucket to shit in while I'm playing so I don't have to go inside to do it? I'll just leave it right there by the table so you can smell it even after I'm gone. Sorry if it stinks and could make you sick but it's my right. No one should be able to tell me to go inside to the bathroom to shit if the owner of the place says it's ok to do it out in the room. Well don't worry, at least the shit smell will come off in the shower, unlike your smoke. I can't believe rational people still debate this...........

But now you can smoke dope and poles there. Can't wait until the gay's get their alimony bills up there. We'll see how much they light their rights then.

My smoke just doesnt seem as vile as some people who either refuse to shower or refuse to use deodorant. There just seems to be something more disgusting about foul odors permiating from someone elses body than a burning plant. And once again, at least smoking doesnt make you a mumbling a**hole like alcohol does but I dont hear anyone complain about that. Oh thats right, the booze aint bad for people who dont indulge, ever lose a family member or friend to a drunk who lost his license 4 O.W.I.s ago?

I would never wish to ban people from being able to breath clean air in tournament locations (or anywhere else). For this reason I would like to see smoking banned inside tournament buildings.

LOL.
We aren't lucky enough to have Bush or Romney as presidents.
Our prime minister is as Obama, a marxist-leninist ...
And in Belgium, we have a preference for heroin (to kill people) in place of guns ...

Well, I can agree with, "I don't mind smoking outside...". I live in a place where it can get to -45C in the winter and I smoke outside. I actually hate the habit too, but it seems to be a wee bit addictive and hard to quit.

For me, I don't want to force my bad habits on others. I made that choice, not you. I just don't like pushy people so the *anti*-smoking (not non-smoking) crowd tends to grind my gears a bit.

.

Thats right Mr. Ghosst..If JoeyA and all the other "anti-smoking" purist's, would read, and absorb this post I made over on one pocket.org, they may realize how some of them sound..ITS ALL ABOUT "THEM" !

Pay particular attention to the link I furnished, at the end of my post..Why does an obvious "anti-smoker", get to dictate a FALSE referendem ?
