Nice cue Hans, I'm glad he built it the way you wanted it. Imagine that - a cuemaker makes a cue that the customer wants. Congrats and enjoy.

Easy story, a well known friendly dealer shows the following cue pics and the price. I liked it very much
and buy it immediately ... no matter how it plays

I like the fact that in this cue is no ivory and silver inlayed.

Glad he added segments to the handle, wouldn't want to confuse it with this one:

i dont care about the bandsaw theory...

but i seen around 1991/92 during a german cueshow some real

and beautiful original Ginacues. So i can say, that from this time on to

present i had a heart for Mr. Ernie Gutierrez cues. But i have still and simply

not enough cash for a cuemodel like this wonderful one from the poster

Hierovision in this thread. Thx a lot for showing this real Ginacue.

My cue has a nice price and a softer hit and i like to play with it.

And its fully paid and looks good to me.

When i hit the lottery jackpot i came over to america, visit Ernies shop

and give him my JD Ginastyle cue as a gift and hope he has

an expensive and similar looking cue for me to buy from him

As grampa (or someone used to say) there is an chair for every butt. If you can't afrord the original and someone is willing to make you a copy then why not?

The way I look at it, as one of the most copied case makers on the planet, is that every human deserves to have the nicest things that they can afford. If I build a case and someone copies it then it stings but at the end of the day when I put something out in the world and create desire then I have to accept that some people will take the ideas I had and make their own version.

That's how life works. The only thing I would ask you and everyone else to think about is that you should just be up front with the credit for the inspiration. As in telling everyone in the first post that you had Joel make you a Ginacue inspired copy. Give Ernie his due from the start and it cuts down on the amount of drama.

Nice cue. If you can't afford the Gina then at least you ended up with something that is pleasing to you and reminds you of one.

Hello John my friend,
thanks for your time and your advice.
In my first post everyone could see the jd cue sign on pic 4 and 5.
In my post # 12 everybody could read, that the cue was ready for sale.
I never gave Joel Dadivas an order to built me this cue.
I bought it as seen from pics by an European Dealer.
Please excuse my earlier poorly postings.

best
Hans

ps
i hope all is well with Karen

@ Sascha, good news...:thumbup2:
