Cues that hit the same.

Hey Rick,

Curious question...about sneaky conversions...

Are you guys coring the full spliced blanks...and is that also part of making your sneakies hit with similar characteristics...???

Or on sneakies, you leave them as a full splice, and just add the joint, butt cap, and weight if necessary...and shaft...?

I've been interested in trying one of your sneakies, but since this conversation, came up, I'm now wondering about the construction method being used...

I know Lambros is coring his fancy cues...and so are many other high end cue builders...but are ya'll applying this method to the sneakies?
 
My cue maker makes cues that all hit very well. He is meticulous in his choice of woods and construction. Identical? I don't know. But I do know that I can drive to his house and pick up my cue and go back home without hitting a ball knowing that I will be happy with the hit and the aesthetics of the cue when I get home. Are there different degrees of happiness? Probably. But as often as I have been in his shop and as much as we have played to me he is Mr. Consistency. Maybe that is why you don't see his cues on the secondary market.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A TULIPWOOD into MAPLE FULL SPLICE CUE.

AT FIRST I THOUGHT I MADE A MISTAKE BECAUSE IT WAS SPORTY.
VERY FLASHY , SPORTY , LOTS SHOW , YOU COULD SEE IT FROM ACROSS THE ROOM.

IN THE SHORT TIME IT TOOK TO GET USED TO IT I THEN REALIZED THE DAM THING HIT LIKE A TITLIST.

SO , I GUESS WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS...
FULL SPLICE TULIPWOOD INTO MAPLE HITS THE SAME AS A FULL SPLICE ROSEWOOD INTO MAPLE CLASSIC TITLIST.

HOPE TO HAVE ANSWERED YOUR THREAD QUESTION.

Hi,

I don't core SP. they don't play like maple cored cues.

I'm quite sure that at least most of the fiberglass cues made by the same maker hit exactly the same.:rolleyes:
