Free tate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tate is a good man, and I am sure he will be back soon. I don't know anyone else involved in this fiasco, but I have had correspondence with Chris Tate and I know that he is an upstanding human being that we are all lucky to have around here.

Also, the Circle Jerks were always better than Black Flag. Bad Religion is better than both, and still making music. No Control and Recipe For Hate are both nearly flawless albums. But if you really want to talk about that era of punk music, you can't do so without mentioning Minor Threat.

We're just a minor threat!!!!! Bad religion and minor threat both on the all time favorite list.

Yeah, Chris tilted, but it was for a good cause.
Tate is an honorable man.
..and I got a feeling that he was party to AZ's decision.

but you can still visit him here....

It's kinda like he got charged with assault, for sticking up for someone.
...but he took a bullet for the good of the forum.

Yep, I don't know Tate but my respect for him as a man went way up. I felt that his post was very accurate too.

No one can deny the impact that Minor Threat has had on punk music and the counter culture in general. They laid the groundwork for the entire straight edge movement. Definitely one of the most influential bands of the underground punk and hardcore scenes.

My wish is that Tate and Juice both become free ASAP. I know I'm not liked by too many people in this thread even though I hail from Cali. I feel bad for both since each enjoy this site so much.

Cheers,
Hung

what about the cro-mags? i do like some minor threat

Age Of Quarrel definitely was a hugely influential record. They were one of the first bands to start fusing punk and metal together to form what is now hardcore music. They also pretty much started the aggressive attitude and mentality that is now prevalent in hardcore music. Me personally, I've never been too big a fan of Cro-Mags, and I'm a hardcore kid through and through. As far as the NYHC scene is concerned, I've always thought Leeway and Sick Of It All were better. Leeway's "Born To Expire" is an awesome album.

I couldn't be more pleased than to be hosting a dual Free Tate/Hardcore Punk thread.

Thanks for your posts. I didn't see you or Mickey as punkers. I love that.

Kevin,

Do you have some hidden meaning stuff going on? You asked what's to like? I answered.

I';m confused??:scratchhead:

Cool wasn't good enough for you?

OK, that was a fabulous post, really outstanding.

Better?

Sorry about the confusion, the part where I said I would post something self-aggrandizing about myself was, well, about myself. Sorry you missed that.

Thanks

Kevin

You can join us in the candlelight vigil for Tate at the AZ Corporate Headquarters. I hope you like punk rock.

FREE TATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know. Our time of need and Tate bails.

I'm arranging a midnight vigil outside the AZ Billiards Corporate Complex. I'll be handing out candles and BIC lighters and scarves we can put over our faces so the powers that be can't recognize us and retaliate.

DON'T LET THE MAN KEEP YOU DOWN. FREE TATE

Here is the last known photograph of Chris Tate.
