Ive been playing with Green Masters Chalk for about 10 years. I am down to my last few peices and have grinded down the others to continue to use them. I have played with new Masters chalk and it isnt the same. Mine is kinda like powder and really penetrates the pores especially if you use a tip pik. The new stuff is more porus and gritty. A firend told me that Tweeten used to use lead in their chalk. Not sure on that but there is a difference. I wish I could get a gross of the old stuff. Any suggestions are appreciated. Happy Holidays.

There is a post on here that stated that they never used lead, it was a quote from the maker of the chalk.

If you like smoother chalk try the Balabushaka, Blue Diamond, or Magic Chalk. I have used all 3 and like them all more than Masters, they are less gritty and go on smoother over the tip. Magic Chalk is my favorite of the bunch.

Try some chalk from a craft house.
