Create a best of forum

Too many great threads get buried imo there should be a "best of" sub forum hate to see great threads buried.

It would be nice. You can subscribe to the posts where people ask "what are the best threads on AZ"... but then new people aren't likely to bump into them.

But, who would decide what goes in the best of forum?

Great Threads of AZB Sticky!

Huckster I agree , thats a great idea!, we should have a "sticky" for all the great threads, best of AZB, so many are buried and never to be read again, I'm not sure how to choose which ones to pick, but I'm sure we can figure it out.

Maybe have a panel of about five or more forum members to pick and choose from all the threads and that way you would have a good variety, it would take a long time to get them all in their, but every day you would see a few more added to the sticky, it would be fun just watching them all being added.

I wonder if there would be any of those funny stories, in there, from that Steamer fellow? I hear he's uncommonly handsome. :)

As I have stated before, i think as far as the buy/sell forum you should be able to pay a small fee to keep your thread on the front page for a few days. Other forums do this and it is hugely successful for both seller and host

That is a good idea. Moderators or a committee could select a bunch of common topics often posted that newbies and others would find interesting. They could be grouped under such things as fundamental, intermediate and advanced topics. Then there are the perennial topics such as tips, low deflection shafts, banking, training materials, etc. Heck somebody could create a whole web site based on this stuff in cooperation with the moderators. Might even want to edit out some of the junk stuff.

Seems that Dr Dave has done something similar with comments from many posters. What is missing on his web site are the funny topics, comments about gambling, leagues, and similar pool hall topics
