Sorry to be the voice of reason here Chris, but you are not helping yourself, or Mike. You come off like your his lap dog or something. Calling him "The Fireball" really???

Look I think your enthusiasm is awesome, but you are really hurting your cause here. Take it for whatever it's worth to you, but I think you come off looking uneducated about what your saying at best. Read more and post less until you get a little better feel for the sport, the games, and how things are being done, etc.

My problem is not so much with his attitude as it is the cheating story. Maybe you forget to read.

Besides this forum maybe you should start with some books like Jay Helfert's Pool Wars & books by others who were THERE when a lot of the things that have been previously discussed happened. Fair warning though, I think it will cause you to think differently about some of the people you look up to. If you even believe any of it which judging from your previous reactions you probably won't which would, in effect, be calling the people who wrote it liars.

I start with the assumption that every player has dumped either in a tournament or gambling. Do I still need to read the book?
 
The only reason I have not read Jay's book is because I have read nearly every other pool book. And once you realize that all things are possible, there's no need to keep bringing up new examples of the same type of story.

Why? I meant both statements. One came with sincerity, the other with sarcasm. I will leave it up to you to determine which one is which.
 
Yep, it tells me that for someone with almost 800 posts in about 3 months, the reason you have so little green rep is your posts are turtle sh*t from Fireball's ass (my old turtle Fireball, not Mike D).

Since everything on here is read & not actually heard, it should be up to you to let people know when you're being sarcastic since it's very hard to know when someone is unless you personally know them & how they are. I've tried my hardest, as I said earlier, to be nice to you & give you the benefit of the doubt. It's very hard to take anything you say seriously when you contradict yourself & then when asked about it you try to back pedal & say you didn't mean one of them. I am fast coming to the conclusion that you just like to poke at people & argue about everything. I just don't get people that like to do that, the whole concept makes no sense to me whatsoever. I'm a person that loves a good debate but that requires the other person being honest, having common sense, & being able to discuss without getting argumentative; I just don't think that you're capable of that judging by your posts.

Still, being the person that I am, I can't just say negative things without also including something positive. I do think it's great that you seem to have such passion for pool & the players.

Did you not see my edit on that post? I said since things on here are read & not heard it is up to you to let people know when you are being sarcastic since it's hard to tell when you don't actually know the person.

Please read before commenting on things. I never said anything about sarcasm before or it's use in this forum until now. You are attempting to do to me what you accuse others of doing to you: picking apart what I say & twisting it. What my replies to you are about is you contradicting yourself.

Are you not willing to admit to your contradiction? If not then you are really not setting a good example for the youth that read these forums by showing them that it's ok to double talk which puts all your previous posts in a bad light since we now can't know if you actually meant what you typed or were using sarcasm......
